WARNING: Esoteric, philosophic dip into the deep end, cuz, I don’t have any peas, frozen or otherwise. Feel free to scroll. Any neuroscientists on this forum? I have a question. Is the human brain built in such a way as to naturally think in terms of compare/contrast? Yes/no, on/off, hero/villain/ like/dislike, black/white? It seems to be ubiquitous in our society. We certainly see it in Adamland with poll after meaningless poll about which Idol is better/best? Which song do you vote for? Who has the best hair? Guy next door or the guyliner? It is also manifest in sports; my team is better than your team, this guy is the best quarterback, etc. And all the competition shows on TV: singing, dancing, cooking, fashion designing, losing weight, surviving in the wilderness, and bitching. Is that just the way we are hard-wired? If so, I suspect our Adam is wired a bit differently in that respect as well as others. When asked, “What is your favorite….” we have seen him, time and again, struggle and say he doesn’t have favorites. I don’t think that is just Adam being political. I think often he doesn’t perceive things as black and white, or even shades of gray (which is really only different combinations of black and white). He perceives things in technicolor, in rainbows, in diversity. Because of this, he has eclectic tastes and talents. He finds something appealing and positive and worthy in many things he sees and hears. And that open perspective is part of what makes him such a great artist. I wonder if that is a commonality among many outstanding artists and creative people? This ability to appreciate without putting a pre-determined value on things and people. And I wonder if Adam ever is puzzled by the black and white thinking and behavior of those around him, including his passionate fans. Just thinking. I really like what you've said! You've got me thinking too ???

I think we may be missing the most obvious source for Sauli's take on punctuality in LA/U.S. I speculate it was something like this: Sauli: Aren't we going to be late? The xxx starts in 10 minutes! Adam: [Gazing at the sea of black and grey in his walk-in closet thoughtfully] Hmm? Oh, don't worry - here EVERYONE arrives an hour late for everything. Really. Everyone. Let's see - I think I'll wear boots... yeah, definitely boots. And a jacket. [Beams] See, I'm almost ready! Ohhh LOL! So true

Okay, call me a cynical, but isn't it odd that just at the moment Adam is at number one - we all get locked out (kicked off) the voting page. Still think Maxwell has his playlist lined up and this is just for clicks. I'm done. I've always thought that SAME THING TOO - voted anyway :-/ I think the station gets advertising $$$$ based on how many people click & then HAVE to watch/see their ads - THEY KNOW ADAM FANS ARE A GOLDMINE!!!!!!! WTF!!

All I can think of when I see this pic of Sauli, is the name someone gave him - Sauli Sunshine!

After the DJ played it, she said "by request". Since they've added it, wouldn't it be on their playlist anyway? ??? I've asked this question before, but haven't gotten a response, so am trying again. I've noticed that they play BTIKM less often now that they've added than before.. they played it today at 3:08 a.m. and 2:37 p.m., that's 11-1/2 between the two plays, but before they played it at least 4 or 5 times and with less time between plays. Can anyone explain how the plays work? Color me confused! ??? WELCOME to all the new members!!! I can't figure out type size or color or it would be a more colorful welcome. ;D I had not seen an answer for this yet so here goes.... There are two parts of getting airplay on US Radio... 1. Getting the song added to the station playlist. There are two different ways stations can choose to add a song to their MediaBase playlist: > Some stations submit the songs they have added. > Other stations add songs automatically whenever they play the song 7 or more times in a week. This is called an "Autoadd". KLLC adds song automatically --- "Autoadds". Last week they played BTIKM 28 times. The most of any station in the US and since they opt to autoadd songs to their MediaBase playlist, it was autoadded. 2. Playing the song. Radio stations or groups of radio stations have program directors (PDs). The PD is responsible for both the station's playlist. the level that songs will be played (how many spins a song will get), and what dayparts (times) the song will be played. They can delegate part of this role to major DJs but rarely do. Just as their title says, they program the station. DJs are the on-air talent. They do not do the programming but are responsible (along with Producers) for their show's content and entertainment value . NOW WHY WOULD SPIN LEVEL DROP after the first week? KLLC supports BTIKM and they will manage the number of spins to peak on or after the official impact date -- 1.23.12 for their format HAC. So, if they back off a bit from 28 spins a week -- don't be surprised -- only worry if they are not well above this level by 1.23.12. Q3 - Thanks for that info! I listen to KLLC 97.3 everyday in my office & request BTIKM on-line a least once everyday! ;D Love that the DJ announces that BTIKM will be played, several minutes before they play it

38K so far for BTIKM? Unbelievable, awesome, superb! Adam will have dimmers in EVERY ROOM. Or maybe even 2 sets... My guess is that he already has all the dimmers he needs; I'm waiting for an entry in Sauli's blog that there is a new sauna on the premises. Just a matter of time... ITA with that!
