Cassie - What do you think about Jack Vidgen? Wow!!! He sounds better on that than the divas! Amazing! And, to be honest, just a little creepy. A 14 year old boy with an unchanged voice singing female diva power songs. Not exactly age appropriate, IMO. Justine Beiber is not an incredible singer by any means, but, he is singing songs that are made for a tween heart throb. What kind of songs is this kid gonna record? And what happens when his voice breaks in a couple of years? He won't be able to sing diva songs then. This almost has a freak show quality to it, but, he seems to be thoroughly enjoying the attention, in a humble way. I don't know enough about vocal techniques for kids, but I am worried about what habits he is creating in singing these songs, and what he will have to unlearn to become a viable singer after his voice breaks. Thanks Cassie - insight I think he's a wonderful singer, though. Wasn't thinking about the fact that a young boys voice "breaks" :-/

So I got in the car with my two almost grown girls tonight and the 16 yr old says, "do you have an Adam set from Idol on your iPod? I want to hear Change is Gonna Come and If I Can't Have you and some other stuff." She did not have to ask twice. She has not wanted to listen to Adam for months. (She claimed I burned her out on him. sigh. This may be true...) Anyway we had a fabulous time driving and jamming. I had not listened to Idol stuff in quite a while. Miss him.....

K - guys, just gonna say this ~ Adam is an excellent lover - I know this cuz of his "Master-Baiting" technique - that is, to starve us for a period of time (to build the tension) - then slowly give us some release (*crumbs*, as NoAngel put it) - the *crumbs* will keep coming (pun intended) to keep us all in an heightened state of interest until the ENTIRE album is finished! (A Happy Ending! ;D :

Oohh - "Can of Worms" here - So I hear .....Florida is the first state that will require drug testing when applying for welfare (effective July 1st)! Some people are crying this is unconstitutional. HOW IS THIS UNCONSTITUTIONAL, WHEN MOST WORKING PERSONS HAVE TO PASS A DRUG TEST IN ORDER TO SUPPORT THOSE ON WELFARE? Just saying!!! >:(

Since it's pretty slow around here, I wanted to share a story that happened a few years ago. I was downstairs in the basement doing laundry (pretty insulated space regarding noise). I had a crew of contractors outside building a new deck in my backyard. So I come upstairs and the contractors are running around shouting "call 911". Of course I don't know WTF happened and immediately thought that one of them got hurt. Then my neighbor (whom I don't speak to) frantically rings my doorbell yelling "Oh My God, Oh My God". I let her in and ask what is wrong. She says "look out your window". So I look and there is an upside down car literally a foot from my window. This is the window that is directly next to my desk and computer, so I spend a lot of time there. I would have died from a heart attack had I been sitting there. Almost immediately there are fire trucks, EMT's, police and news reporters outside. The police closed my street, and there are tons of neighbors standing across the street. They get the woman out of the car and she is totally unharmed. My other neighbor was out walking when this happened and said she flew down the street at around 50 mph. Hit a car a block away. Bounced off of that. Came across the lawn across the street and the car left the air as it entered his yard. She missed a huge oak tree by less than a foot. She crashed into my neighbor's very sturdy steel flag pole. Bent it in half. Crashed into my fence. And flipped over. They have the woman sitting on my deck making sure she is alright. She refused to go to the hospital. I swear to god, she asks for a cell phone and says "I need to call Geico". What a commercial that one would have made. Anyway, here are some pictures. looking out my window i463.photobucket.com/albums/qq353/littledeb10/100_0441.jpglooking out my window i463.photobucket.com/albums/qq353/littledeb10/100_0440.jpgfrom across the street. check out the flag pole. i463.photobucket.com/albums/qq353/littledeb10/100_0438.jpgfrom across the street. better view of the flag pole. notice the huge piece of cement at the bottom of it. she knocked the whole thing out of the ground. t had stood the test of time for over 50 years. i463.photobucket.com/albums/qq353/littledeb10/100_0432.jpgHad she not hit that flagpole, she either would have come through my window and knocked out the side of my brick house, or continued on and hit one of the guys working on the deck. They were quite shaken up. Thank god for that flag pole. We filed a claim with Geico and got reimbursed for the fences, flag pole, etc. Just thought I'd share. OMG - Thank you flagpoles! Wow & thanks for sharing!!!! ( about Geico too! Love those Cavemen & Gekko! )

Have you seen this kid on Australia's Got Talent? He's fourteen and great. It makes me really, really, really want to see a video of Adam singing at this age. This kid is FANTASTIC! <3<3

In my imagination - Sauli is probably not following Adam because they're playing! Adam can't DM Sauli, so everyone gets to see Adam's tweets to Sauli - "more fuel to the fire" - so to speak! :
