I haven't posted for some time but I came across this post on a Queen site I've lurked on for years which made me very happy and wanted to share it with the forum as it is such a complete turnaround. A die hard Queen fan, a singer himself, was very scathing about QAL from the start. I'm quoting him here; 'AL is nothing but a karaoke singer' 'He's nothing special as a singer apart from having an incredible range.' 'His next coming solo album will flop again.' 'There is no chemistry between Brian, Roger and Adam.' The thaw started when he was impressed by Adam's 'Love Kills' at the iheart radio event before the NA tour. He was very excited to go and see a QAL Europe show in January last year because he would get to see Brian and Roger perform but was still very skeptical about Adam. His review of the show; 'It was outstanding, I'm completely blown away. I felt really good throughout the show, I stood right in front of the stage and it was simply incredible. I can't believe it really happened. I guess it was indeed the best concert I ever went to. I feel so incredibly lucky that it all went well, that I was able to enjoy it thoroughly. I feel so blessed to have seen the guys that near, and to have heard their AMAZING sound. Lambert was outstanding, I gotta say. It's a complete different thing to experience it all live. That's all I can say right now.' Then he actually went to Adams TOH Hamburg show and as you can see, he is now an flailing, card carrying, mind blown Glambert!! Here's his review; 'I went to see him in Hamburg, it was completely incredible. He blew the roof off. This man's presence and voice is off the planet, it just doesn't seem real. It was like he came from a different world, landing with a spaceship on the "Große Freiheit". I gotta say I love his dance stuff quite a lot actually. His band was unbelievable, too. It was a perfect night out, the sound was amazing and the vibe and feeling had been extraordinary. 8-) Glad I went!!!' Oh the power of seeing AL live!!! I saw a big guy with a Queen + Adam Lambert shirt buy a tour program in Hamburg. Who knows, might have been the same one :-)

Whew! These translated reviews are a real chore! Hard to grasp what the reviewer really has in mind. This one actually sounds kind of positive in parts and praises Adam, yet it is pretty critical in other regards.. Adam's voice is always praised, of course. But there's a kind of off-set with the show and songs. Hard to interpret. Interesting take on Adam's photo op with his hands and feet in the clay. Makes him sounds kind of snooty and diva-ish but then tells about how nice and accommodating he was. Anybody else have their theories?? It seems that some of these reviewers are expecting something very different from what Adam's show really is. And some come to the show with a pre-conceived attitude and opinion about Adam in general. All I know is that the audiences all seem to LOVE him! This one is actually glowing! It says that he has finally seen somebody who has it in him to be the stuff of legends like so many that have passed away this year. I actually checked a couple of times whether this was a Glambert review, because it was so complimentary. Not many followers either, this one, but he LOVED Adam!

So I have been waiting to post this ever since Adam started to preach about boxes.
I love this. Filmed in one take by one of my other favorites (Walk off the Earth) They are so creative, make their own instruments, a great love of music, amazing skills and a pretty good message too

We probably got this before, but it might not hurt to read it again after a couple of less than stellar reviews. By the way, I think it is quite funny that most of the reviewers that didn't like it have comments on the set list (too much 'disco' or 'dance party') or the fact that there are (too much) costume changes. It seems like there isn't any fault to be found in Adam himself, or the way in which he takes the audience with him. It is more a case of clashing expectations (nope, this isn't a rock show). That having been said: Original stagr.giga.de/konzerte-und-musik/adam-lambert-bringt-durch-seine-showeinlagen-die-grosse-freiheit-36-zum-beben/Translated translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fstagr.giga.de%2Fkonzerte-und-musik%2Fadam-lambert-bringt-durch-seine-showeinlagen-die-grosse-freiheit-36-zum-beben%2F&edit-text=SUCCESSFUL TOUR OPENER IN HAMBURG: ADAM LAMBERT MAKES THE GROSSE FREIHEIT 36 TREMBLE One thing is already clear from the first minute: This evening is an absolute highlight show. ... the two dancers who neatly heat up the audience, but also by all four outfit change by Lambert it is optically not boring on stage. Yet all this is somehow only a minor matter, because only with his voice impressed the musicians across the board. It's amazing how easily he bolted through the octaves. Musically party time, because his songs are to settle thanks to fresh beats in dance-pop. Thus the Great Freedom turns 36 during the course of the show in a large dance club. (well, I don't have time to really clean this up, and somebody else might have done so already, but I think you understand what he means )

Also not very good in German. Sometimes you ask yourself if people were there who write the review. The reviewer doesn't like Disco apparently. And according to the reviewer this is the ONLY concert where he didn't do Let's Dance since the passing of Bowie. Not informed that well then. He forgot LMD on the set list. The reviewer is a Queenie / Classic Rock fan. Not very professional to write a review solely on personal preferences. Nice pic btw

Good morning/afternoon/evening everyone! Monday morning, time for coffee and of course time for Adam. Since it is still Monday morning here, I thought I'd bring this over to today's thread. I took this pic in Copenhagen, and oh, what great memories!!! I have more pics, will share them later when I have time.
