There are many many ways to do something like a Meet and Greet other than what I see happening with Adam. A (sometimes crazy long) line of people who come in, say hi, smile for a picture, mayyybe get one or two lines of interaction and then onto the next one.
I have seen creative ideas like - getting to be at a soundcheck - group interview with the band / star - a group VIP hangout - exclusive one song performance in a backstage room that sound way more fun than the 'hi smile pic bye' format.
Sooooo, any creative ideas here about what would be awesome to have with the TOH tour? I personally would really like the 'exclusive one song performance', preferably a cappella.
I think that it is not a very good idea to have meet and greets before a show, unless they take place a long time before, somewhere in the afternoon for example. They have a tendency to take longer than planned, because if this is your one moment of seeing someone up close and having the opportunity to say something to them, you are going to take every second you get. I know I would. And if the artist is a decent person (which Adam is), they are going to really try to not make it feel rushed, even though it is. I can also imagine it does take a lot of emotional investment from the artist, at least if you want to do it well.
I do know that interacting after a show can be hard on the artist too. I've seen Justin Hawkins from the Darkness signing at the merch stand after his Amsterdam show and he looked very vulnerable. He was an absolute gent, but I didn't even have the heart to approach him because it was obvious he already gave everything during the show.
I don't know. For now I am just glad there haven't been any M&Gs announced for the European shows yet. Hope it will stay that way.

Thanks for bringing that over, ghost, awful news...Do we have anyone from Belgium here? Not that I know of. The people I know from Brussels (Glamberts) are safely at home now.

Hi everyone!! Haven't got time to really read the thread, but I think it might help to know that the song was out there before ghost posted about it. More people notified Warner too. Also... it is already on youtube and has been for a couple of days. You can hear it here from approx 10:30 on. Sound is so distorted though that I don't even know whether Adam is singing this one (don't recognize his voice at all). In a few days we are going to get this officially!! In the meantime, just enjoy what we have!! An a - ma - zing new single. New music on the way. More touring dates. A happy Adam. Can it get any better?

Hey just got a crazy idea. It would be pretty awesome if Adam and Laleh were to performe on Eurovision Song contest. Seen by roughly 200 million ppl. Semifinales held may 10 and 12. And finale may 14. Where????? SWEDEN It would be perfect for Eurovision! Adam is probably in Europe by that time too, since QAL kicks off the 20th and they are going to rehearse.

Question! For some reason WTTS doesn't work anymore for me on Spotify. It says the song isn't available. It's on Adam's page, but I can't play it. Anyone else have that problem too? Working fine for me. Deleted, played online, saved and played offline. Everything is good. I might try another time though, just to be sure . Never hurts to hear that amazing song again.

Regarding the Spotify thing, didn't we determine at some point that if you're playing files that reside on your device (i.e. with "available offline" enabled, which only works if you have a Spotify subscription), they don't count as streaming, but otherwise they are counted as a play? Otherwise, I don't see how songs could rack up hundreds of millions of plays, because that would mean hundreds of millions of individual listeners who all would know to not "save" files, whether to the cloud or not. Yes we did. Imagine that all offline streaming wouldn't count as streaming... That is just not possible. As I remember correctly Spotify counts the streams from offline songs when your device checks in again. Maybe it even takes some time to accumulate streams. So if you are streaming offline it doesn't count for a stream immediately, but somewhere in the future. Not sure what saving or not saving has to do with this though, since a save means nothing more than marking that song as a favorite, as far as I know. After the save you get the option to make it available offline too, so that is definitely something different.

I haven't been able to listen more than a few times and have to reluctantly put down my headphones to really get to work now. BUT! I love this song. It just hits my heart. Adam's voice, Laleh's voice, the subtle rhythms that are surprising but not jarring, the lyrics. Wow. Can't wait to hear this one live!!
As far as hit potential, it feels the same to me like when Ghost Town was just out. People getting excited. Although when GT started out the buzz that I saw mostly came from the Netherlands and it seems like this time it mostly comes from the USA. Feels like it could be big, this one.
But I find that I just can't really get myself to worry about WTTS being a hit or not being a hit. I will buy and stream, of course (if only because I want to hear it over and over again). This is a wonderful gift, no matter what happens next. New music!! Wonderful music!! Out of the blue!!! I love surprises!

I have a veil - Interesting terminology. My first thought was middle eastern burkas. It's not a word a lot of people use other than at weddings. But it does lead to him pulling it back/off or letting us through or see through. I'm not sure why the present tense of "have" vs "had". [...] Laleh is from Iran
