I'm late to this discussion, as usual. Being a senior, in my day, the legal drinking age was 18 in New York and 21 in New Jersey. Had nothing to do with military service. In 1972, my high school prom night package(for venue in NY( included a cocktail - and I went to an all-female Catholic school. Somewhere between 1972 and 1975 the drinking age was raised to 21 across the US. But it was tied to federal funding for highways, and some problems where people went drinking across the NY border, then drove home to NJ. But the voting age went down from 21 to 18 in response to all those serving in the military.)
And I've raised three children are now 33, 32 and 28. They probably imbibed before legal age at college. But 21 versus 18 is only significant if tied to a DUI. They were all responsible.

Today I did something I thought I would never have the courage to do - walk out of my church during homily. The priest was on a rant about the Supreme Court ruling and used the same old tired arguments why this is so wrong, that gay couples could not raise families and that I cannot be a Catholic if I accept this ruling and that I am living in the dark. Ok then, if I cannot be considered a Catholic then I am out of here. We were seated on the second pew so we were very visible when my son and I walked out. And you know what? I never felt so FREE! I can still believe in my God but not in the confines of this very narrow-minded religion. As a member of a very devout Catholic family, I am sure this will not be acceptable but so be it! I stick to my decision. FREE at last and so happy for my brothers and sisters in the gay community! Catching up on this thread after a long day of traveling. I was raised R. Catholic including attendance at 9 years of parochial grade school and 4 years of an all female high school. I moved over to the Episcopal church about 25 years ago. Today, I attended a Sunday service celebrating the Supreme Court decision as a highlight of the week. Recently, I had a 40 year high school reunion. One of the women came right out to say she never expected to be married to a priest. And, that Episcopal priest is a woman, and they are raising two children together. No one in my high school class objected to our classmate's happiness. It annoyed me no end the past few days with the politicians going on about the affront to the religious. I just kind of wish I still participated in Republican politics at the local level, so I could walk out of the next "conservative values" demagoguery.

OH wow = got an email that I have front row passes to GMA on Friday. Will have to leave home by 4am, but that probably beats lining up on a queue.

I love Tove Lo, but that track is not very strong for a second single - reason to buy the album. It's pretty enough, but TOH has more hooks. Maybe number four? If they knew that Tove Lo would have hit with her solo stuff, they may have mixed it differently, IMHO.

You know, since my son got his half-sleeve and I know one daughter has a small tattoo, I've been toying with the idea of a tattoo, but mostly for the experience. Wasn't really coming up with any good ideas though - sure it could be the eye, or the infinity symbol. But the linear writing for "Chasing the original high" plus the white dove from the album cover of the first Emerson Lake and Palmer album (circa 1970) could say all, for me. (The white dove was something a friend from prog rock circles was considering.)

MY GUESS -- the iHeartRadio Summer Pool Party will air on The CW Network on Thursday, June 11 at 9 p.m. ET/PM. Adam is performing on ABC GMA Concert on June 19th. ABC got an exclusive TV window. >> Knowing Adam he will be great and get a ton of press even without performing. I was curious because someone said Kelly is performing at both.. wouldn't she have the same restriction or is it on an individual basis with ABC? Both of Kelly's performances are with iHeart. Adam has a performance at GMA which would be broadcast w/in the same timeframe as CW network. The GMA performance is the hitch.

Oof - I like the way the other arm turned out, but this arm is quite intense.

Why does everything have to be so dark? I am looking forward to some joy on TOH. LOL Maybe no joy. Maybe the best we can hope for is "upbeat dark stuff" that everyone can dance to... even cows! Can't wait to hear the WHOLE ALBUM! Sweden in February. I visited relatives in Sweden in November. It's dark ...

Not sure what this is. Jon Sosis @funnyjs · 1h 1 hour ago Jess Glynne/Adam Lambert International marketing showcase. #music #nyc #thebox http://instagr.am/p/27EUYcIkKX Interesting - when listening to Sirius 003 in search of Ghost Town, I was struck by her "hold my hand" single.
