President Obama affirms his personal belief that same sex couples should be able to marry. I love President Obama in much the same way that I love Adam. With my whole heart and soul. I feel the same way. I stanned Obama daily during the 2008 election, had a party on inauguration day, and then shortly after that, got floored by Adam Lambert when he performed Ring of Fire. My feelings about both are very similar--both have so much courage and have suffered so much hate online and they just keep moving forward with optimism and love. I am so happy Obama has done this--I knew he would do the right thing! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Love your words, joky. Totally agree.

cherry, there are a few that are waiting, I can't remember names though. You are not alone. However, AO is streaming the whole album, and the sound is fantastic! Also, Adam had a twitter party yesterday (link on p.1) about the music, he's excited about the fans hearing it. Okay, I never identified myself as such, but I was "holding out" on listening until yesterday. I seem to have a theory in life that the more emotional pain I inflict upon myself, the more I will appreciate the outcome. Well, anyway I abandoned that theory and finally listened last night to the most beautiful music ever heard or pulled into one's being. But that is not all I am doing. I went out and bought 3 remaining FYE Cds that I could find quickly at local store - added to the three I had left from my "Tell a Stranger They Are Beautiful" effort in 2010 and 2011, and am proceeding to give out to some new people this week with the hope they will purchase Trespassing. At least that is my hope and often my experience. I also sent an email to all the friends/family that I gifted or introduced FYE to. I requested that they listen to the stream and buy Trespassing so we can get Adam to #1 next week. My wonderful men friends are texting me like crazy this morning - I sent them a note about Adam's 4 stars on RS and they are amazed! I have other Adam strategies all over the place - I am a "plant the seed" person and I keep the garden watered, so to speak. All my kids, many of their friends, and my extended family do the same, both for Adam and for @1n10. And everything all of you on Adamtopia ask or suggest we do, I do that too. It always bears repeating, thanks to all of you for the amazing work you do to keep us collectively aware of how to make a difference on behalf of our Adam spirit. I am a big risk-taker on all diversity related issues (some know my story), but I have done things where I did not breathe for a month afterward. "No pain, no gain theory" needs to be re-thought from time to time :-) By the way, I do not let anyone off the hook when it comes to describing and living my love for Adam. I just have different strategies for different people.

My friend RadarEcho is supporting Youth Texas First and they had the wonderful idea of the amazon wish list. (yay for great ideas) RadarEcho came to the Phoenix one n ten Brunch this year (used to be spelled 1n10). So many wonderful Adam fans have contributed to the now famous Adam Fan basket (including some from Adamtopia) for the silent auction that occurs at the yearly Brunch. I estimate that Adam Fans have contributed well over $10K to 1n10 through participation in the Brunch, gifting CDs, silent auction donations, donations to the Adam Fan Basket, donations to Outdoors! Camp, and regular $$ donations. As a result of 1n10's increasing visibility (recently 1n10 was featured on CNN) the youth now have a 2600+ sq ft drop in center (just moved from a 900 sq ft old home with barely any air conditioning in over 100 degree heat.) Many of the youth are homeless - they ride the light rail or bus at night until service stops, so the center is a place for a meal and now a shower during the day. I repeat some of this since we have so many new members at Adamtopia. All I can say - "all things Adam" are woven through so much of the spirit of what we (volunteers) are doing to support the one n ten LGBTQ youth for over three years now. Here is a way of introducing Adam's community to Adam. :-) We used the FYE CDs on the tables at the 2011 Brunch. There were tons of people from the Gay community at the brunch who know (or knew) nothing about Adam. So, little by little, wonderful things are happening for the youth and many many seeds are being planted for Adam. I have received Madonna CDS from my friends/colleagues at 1n10 in exchange for the Adam CDs I give to them :-) We are making this fun! (of course, there are serious discussions too) My love and devotion to Adam has been multiplied many many times over by my devotion to the youth. All is connected. RadarEcho said 1n10 better use the Amazon wish list if we want to get any Trespassing CDs for the 1n10 kids and I agree with her (smile).

I've sent my husband to Barnes & Nobel but they don't have it yet - still the Obama issue, my husband said! I went to Barnes and Nobles and the salesperson said the next shipment is due in on Thursday, and that RS mag will likely be in that shipment.

I have no idea how many copies of trespassing I have ordered. ![](http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx348/Quu3/Adam%20Smilys/Other%20Smileys/dunno2-1.gif) I really want the box but for right now I decided to use my money to buy several less expensive copies to gift. I will probably get the box set later...just won't be able to resist. Is there a list of places that are asking for copies? I posted this one: www.amazon.com/registry/wishlist/....act&.x=10&.y=17If there are any others I want to contribute. I think I saw one on twitter, but there was not a link. Thank you so much for asking - 1n10 would really appreciate as many CDs as we are able to gift. Hundreds of LGBTQ youth walk through their doors each month - and a gift of Adam's music for the youth is a beautiful thing! Also, send a note to the youth, along with the CD, if you are able. You can send to: 1n10 c/o Micheal Weakley 2700 North 3rd Street Suite #2011 Phoenix, AZ 85004 Phone: 602-754-1175 I also put this on the Adamtopia gifting thread

Hi! I decided to revise my opinion. Yesterday I probably acted hastily and stupidly. Later in the evening I sat down to my notebook, read your PMs and cried and cried. I have to say that the comment about nail polish really made me upset and it was partially because I'm really trying to change for better but from time to time, I just make fun of the issues which are serious , like for example homosexuality, regardless of the fact it could hurt anybody. I don't do it intentionally, maybe it's also the consequence of my cultural backround... Yesterday I was nervous like a mofo, waiting for the result of my decisive exam. Fortunately I passed and everything is okay now. I didn't want to behave like a total hellcat. Thank you all who stood up for me, it really moved me to tears. That comment made me upset also because I love Adam, and only the idea that some of my deeds/statements could offend him or even harm him makes me mad. I just wanna tell you I apologize for my yesterday's outburst of emotions . And please, pardon me, if I sometimes babble a bullsh*t. I will do my best to be more precise in my statements. Maybe this post should posted to Members thread, I just feel like my post is nothing in comparison with Tinafea's loss. Hi, ame - happy day! Glad your exam went so well.

YAY! A new fan!!!!! Yes, this era is going to be even Betterer!!! I'm just sure that this music will bring new fans in and old ones back in, that might have been disenchanted with the award show gate! (don't want to even type the letters) Great job! We are soldiers for Adam!!!! SOLDIERS FOR ADAM!!!! And in line with us being soldiers for Adam - as you may recall - fans gifted over 600 FYE CDs to the Sister Soldier Project - so we have women soldiers all over the world who "brought Adam home" from their service. "planting seeds"

ame. Please don't leave. The last time someone on Atop bit my head off for no good reason, I went outside with my lunch bag and broke down in tears. Being misunderstood is seriously painful for an introverted person. I considered just quietly deleting my account and walking away, closing the door behind me and never looking back. Then I thought about all the fun, great people I would miss -- people I would name except I don't want to miss one -- and decided not to let my fun be ruined, and I came back on and posted as much or more than ever. As JFK said, Fuck 'em if they can't take a joke. My two cents about the backup singers and the inexplicable debate about it. Leadership is critical to the success of any organization. I work in a research library. We had extremely successful projects for years considering our size and funding. I was proud to work here because we had such great, dedicated, talented and amazing people who cared passionately about the cause here. Once for reasons too tedious to explain the bosses were all gone for a month. Things ran as well or better than ever and we got tons done. We were so motivated! Then our old boss retired and we got a new boss. Now we can't do anything right. Our projects are poorly conceived failures, the staff is demotivated and at each other's throats, and it's hell to work here. Even our small wins feel like defeats. The staff members have not changed. The leadership is what has changed. It denigrates no one's talent to point out that having a driven leader who appreciates talent, empowers his talent to suggest ideas, and is intuitive about people will get great results. Adam is growing into that man and good for him, and good for us. My 2 cents. juniemoon, thank you for your thoughtful post and for the clarity of your example about leadership. A quick comment about ame's post - it took courage to speak up like ame did regarding how she felt about the response to her post. When a person makes a statement that is perceived as controversial, it might be helpful to ask the person for clarification as opposed to reacting to the statement or suggesting the person is operating out of a misguided purpose. Lastly, in the spirit of honesty, I kept waking up all night thinking about how uncomfortable I was with last night's conversation - but then, I have worked with issues related to perceived behavior around "sex-oriented" topics for many years. Not everyone has the life experience that allows for that kind of explicit conversation. Yes, one can scroll, but there might also need to be thoughts about how inclusive the discussion really is/was. It could be the type of conversation that serves to exclude or even upset people. It might be that individuals who were impacted in that way might never raise their voice to say so. That is the limitation of this type of conversation - there is no way to determine whether people feel safe or respected. I am not judging the conversation - I am merely stating that what is perceived as acceptable by some may have had a different impact on others. I am acknowledging that possibility.
