Just walked into Costco and Adam greeted me on the big TV screen at the door. It was QAL at iHeart. Needless to say, I stopped dead in my tracks. So unexpected and fun. *\o/* I had a problem with my computer and took it in to the Geek Squad for a fix. Of course, I have an Adam Lambert desktop slideshow. I guess that everyone in the geek room was curious who this guy was on this computer. The consensus was a model. An underwear model. hahaha. They were also curious who had him as a screen saver. I identified him, pointed out that his concert plays on the big screen TVs in their home theater section, and that, though I am an "older" lady, I ain't dead yet. Much more interesting to look at pictures of Adam rather than serene nature scenes. You and me both *snickers*! I have also had to identify and describe Adam to others when they see my screensavers and desktop backgrounds. My sister (who is a fan but not a Glambert) just sighs and rolls her eyes...

Hi there Iamthelight and welcome to Adamtopia!! I'm glad you joined us and hope you comment often! I love that we have such a diversity of individuals, cultures, ages and views here. I am not a younger fan (LOL) but am certainly not the oldest, either. As a middle-aged woman, I love the entire TOH album and The Light has been one of my favorite songs from the beginning. I am a vocalist, so I often especially like the songs which evoke certain feelings and/or show off Adam's voice in a particular way. I am also a long-time pop music fan and love the beat on many of the TOH songs. Party! BTW -- I can also do both hip and pelvic circles (from my teens and 20's dancing days). They are fun to do--but are a little harder now than when I was in my 20's!

Shoshanna's comment on Adam's photo made me almost spit out my tea! I understand why not everyone would get her humor, but it was a very British comment to make (ironic humor) and very funny. I love dorky Adam, and I proudly believe myself to be a fellow dork as well! I was a music and theater kid, and sometimes what we think is funny is just perplexing to others who didn't spend their formative years with others like us. LOL. Funny story (which says how old I am as well) -- when I was in high school and the first Star Wars movie had just come out, I remember going into the choir room one day for rehearsal and there were a few of the guys fighting with imaginary light sabers-- complete with sound effects. These are my people. I can imagine Adam doing something similar in his choir room!
OFF TOPIC INVITATION FOR SEATTLE FOLKS****BTW, I have already bought my ticket for the first day of the new Star Wars movie...at 2:30am! Still a dork! And any Seattle atopers that want to join me, tickets are still available (at the Regal Thornton Place Cinemas at Northgate -- in IMAX 3D!). If anyone wants to join me, we could go get breakfast after and squee about the film or diss anything that wasn't up to par). I would certainly understand if people might not want to go to a movie in the middle of the night, but it is Friday night/Saturday morning (Dec. 19th). Send me a PM if interested!

Well, I have a number of relatives in Denmark and a few in the Jelling area, so .... hmmmmm....
By the way, to anyone who is interested in going to a QAL concert and hasn't been to Denmark, it is a wonderful place with lovely people and great food (and beer) and desserts (and beer)! Hi to all our Danish atop folks, too! My mom's family is Danish and I have been lucky enough to visit a couple of times over the years.

I love how Adam's honest about not being punctual! I have a friend who was always so late for everything that we automatically told her that events and other stuff were at least half an hour earlier than they really were so she would be at least close to on time. We were in graduate school together, and when she wanted a ride to class I would pretty much have to threaten her to get her out the door on time, so I know how frustrating continually late people can be. Luckily, Mr. Charmicide is so endearing that he probably gets away with a lot -- although at least he admits to this and probably isn't as bad as he makes it out to be. Then again, as he has said himself, charm goes a looong way....

Is it just my dirty mind, or has anyone else noticed that the addition of microphones to that throne chair make it more than a little, er, phallic? Just sayin' (I'm sure Adam noticed--LOL).

So, is it weird that I just saved a picture of the back of Adam's head?

I am excited about the Isle of Wight festival! I remember looking up their accommodations a couple of years ago for someone who was performing there (don't remember who). They are considered the "Woodstock of UK Festivals" by some and would be an excellent gig to go to if possible. They have a pretty amazing range of accommodations on the grounds and in the surrounding areas. Some of them are pretty amusing, too! Check out the link: www.festicket.com/festival/isle-wight-festival-2016/You can book all sorts of packages at this sight and find out about what they have available. If you are willing to share with a few other folks (and we are a sharing group, right???) you can stay for not a lot of money for the week-end.
