The Cotillion in Wichita, KS is a ballroom (sounds like an interesting venue) and will probably be GA standing -- at least most of it. I looked it up because my favorite aunt and uncle live less than an hour away and I have never had a good enough reason to go to Kansas...but I think they might need a visit! Otherwise, I don't know when I will see a concert because I live in the beautiful NW as well. Sigh.

Along with Adam, I loved Bowie and a lot of his music. I actually dressed up as him on the album cover with the zigzag painted on his face for Halloween one year. Amazing artist who lived an amazing life. He was one of a kind, and will definitely be missed. I'm sorry Adam never got to meet him, but I know that the spirit of Bowie will live on in Adam's heart.

Hi enchanted! So happy you joined us -- and at such a great time, too (although any time is good for Adam stanning). How long have you been a fan and how did you fall down the rabbit hole? I've been a fan since Idol and have been to too few concerts--but hopefully will be able to go to more during the TOH tour -- I live in the NW (Seattle) in the USA and we don't get many concerts here. If you go to concerts, you will always meet wonderful and friendly Adam fans from everywhere, and even more diversity when you go to QAL concerts. I have met Adamtopia people from this area, the east coast, and a number of other countries! I have also been hosted by lovely Adamtopia folks when traveling on business. We are a great group!

I thought There I Said It was good on the album, but it really comes alive on stage! Absolutely beautiful and intense, too. Wow.

RE: Lyric monitors -- I have seen them at the front of the stage a number of times with Adam, and it is a good idea to use them even when you are singing your own music because vocalists can get a "brain cramp" and go black with their own songs just as easily as with other's music! I have memories of blanking on a musical line that I know like the back of my hand, but during that particular program -- poof! Adam obviously learns music quickly and has a good memory, but even the best vocalists need a bit of help when doing new songs, a lot of songs, new arrangements and/or songs they have not sung in a while. As this tour goes on, I expect very little reliance on the monitor except if a new song is included. I have seen him use a sheet of paper taped to the floor as well as notes cribbed on his hand, so a monitor is a huge step up! If I had one of those when I was doing more performance singing, I would have made use of it in a hot minute! I mostly just use a music stand for reference when needed.
