But it sure would be nice to have it gain momentum. The lyric video's first week was more important, I think. It gave everyone a first impression of Ghost Town and radio an idea of how popular the song could be. It didn't have any competition, either. The music video was locked until 07:30 NY time Wednesday, as you said. The lyric video and The Ellen performance may be drawing views away. Hoping for better, but I'll be happy with Tuesday.

I have something lovely to share. I did a session with an aspiring young opera singer and "somehow" Adam came up. She was curious so I sent her some links (CTMBTM, SSB at Miramar, WWTLF and STL) Here is what she said: Thank you so much for sending me these links. Truly an awesome voice with so many stylistic possibilities and virtuosity! Not surprising that I hadn't heard of him because I'm a bit out of touch with American Idol, but I looked up more information on him and his background I can only imagine he was a fantastic performer in musicals-- that first link is simply gorgeous! so jealous of his easy vocal production. Ha! I actually have to sing the national anthem next weekend to open a race (blech). I was using Renee Fleming's performance at the Super Bowl last year as a guide, but I think I could gain a lot from his Adam's ease and style of delivery. Of the links you sent, I really like Somebody to Love, only because, as you said, it takes a really virtuosic voice to take Freddie Mercury's place.... really awesome. Awww, that is fabulous! I think it speaks volumes that so many opera and and classically trained professional singers are so impressed with Adam. Ditto that! So many interesting stories today!

My niece who is in Las Vegas just called me (I gifted her GT) and while eating in a very crowded restaurant, she played GT and people at the next table asked her about it. Other people around her started bopping their heads and said they liked the song. Yay! She and a whole host of family members are there for the Pacquiao/Merriweather fight. Manny P was born and raised in my grandmother's hacienda. He has remained very humble in spite of his success as one of boxing's greats. He paid for several of my relatives' air fare from the Philippines, hotel, meals and pocket money! He has wonderful memories growing up at the family farm. He even attended our family's grand reunion last October at our hometown which I missed because of my move to CA. My sisters and brothers got to meet him and were very impressed with his humility. And how does this relate to Adam? Well, in spite of his success, Adam remains very humble and still surrounds himself with family and friends who keep him grounded. Just like Manny. Go Manny and good luck! My youngest son and I have been talking about how amazingly huge this fight has become for a couple of days now. I had to tell him your story. (He was with me at the ATop dinner in Tennessee so long ago.) I had not had a favorite. Now I do. As you said, Go Manny and good luck!

I was waiting for the big Ghost Town turn over to 600,000, but got distracted. We had an earthquake. In Michigan. LOL We've got the windows open and I thought it was a big gust of wind. My youngest daughter insisted it was a quake and she was right. United States Geological Society USGS measured the quake at magnitude 4.2 and said it was centered south of Galesburg, about 65 miles southwest of Lansing. WOW hope everybody is OK As far as I've heard, there were no injuries. The quake was tiny. It caused a lot of excitement here because it's so unusual.
