I had never noticed that this old video of Adam in Peter Pan used 'The Original High' in its title, back in 2011. Was it an expression that had been used by the people he hung out with at the time? How does it tie in with his new work? Adam describes how he gets a kick out of performing. That's my clip and I put that reference in the title. It's confusing and I just went and took it out. I've been updating the playlist a bit, too. 1982 - 2008 Adam Lambert - Child, High School, & Pre Idol Performanceswww.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLBDA6F9782748F531Adam talks about how happy he is performing in this one, too: Adam Lambert Scarlet Pimpernel She Was There 2 www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nwz373z0p-g

They never apologized to me. They actually blocked me! That's why I said they should have apologized to your directly on twitter. I probably shouldn't post any of their stuff anymore. I didn't remember who they were when I posted their tweet today. What they said to you was truly wrong and totally disrespectful. I figured you didn't remember. That's ok. It's just that I see their tweets being posted and retweeted as if they were a legitimate celebrity news site. I hate to see them gain credibility.

4Ms...I forgot what Celebrities Report had said awhile back. They were friggin' rude!! At least they did make an apology. They should have made you a direct apology on twitter too! Quoting Celebrities Report:"A couple of days ago, we stumbled on an instagram photo of Adam Lambert with his best friend Danielle Stori, both of whom we greatly appreciate on CelebritiesReport.com. We innocently titled the post “Sorry Danielle, But Adam Lambert looks better then you!”. We didn’t mean to be mean to Danielle, but maybe our reporter was a little bit biased to Adam (Frankly, he’s a big Fan). We wanted to correct this glitch by this post, hopefully we didn’t offend Adam’s Fans nor did we offend Adam and his best friend Danielle. Danielle and Adam, you both look great. Some tribute photos for you below wishing secretly that we’ll be forgiven!" They never apologized to me. They actually blocked me!

Joey voice is a gimmick. It's part of her schtick. Her MW was more serious than usual, but it was certainly not in the same class as Adam's MW. It was not hauntingly, breathtakingly beautiful. I think we have to stop getting angry and frustrated when others say anything nice about anything Adam has done earlier...it is ludicrous to think we should table anything he sang on idol....or fcs, sitting on a stool!!?? Perry Como famously sat on a stool so using this framework, Adam had no right to sing on a stool. We hate it when A is/was constantly held to the Freddie standard [and often found lacking] yet we blithely do that to others. If you just say 'in my opinion' or 'I have a hard time enjoying' that is fair....but another version is just schtick....that is patently unfair, IN MY OPINION. And it is disingenuous to claim his version was perfect when the last note was horribly off....I love his version and it is epic...but perfect...not. Joey's version was not for everyone, I am sure...just as Adam's Queen is not for everyone [hard as that seems to understand]....but she was really good and I do not for a minute think it was schtick. There are 3 or 4 especially talented kids on the show this year and Joey is one of them, that are really unique and creative. I think that is what has been missing for a long time on the show and it is really good to see. ymmv Joey is cute and fun. She's one of my favorites this season. Her Mad World was predictable Joey and when I saw the stool I laughed out loud. I really thought she meant it to be funny. I hope she did. Schtick does not have any negative connotations in my head. www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/shtick Full Definition of SHTICK
1 : a usually comic or repetitious performance or routine : bit 2 : one's special trait, interest, or activity : bag <he's alive and well and now doing his shtick out in Hollywood — Robert Daley
Here are my 2 other comments on Joey's performance: I usually like Joey very much, but not only did she sing Adam's version of MW, she sat on a stool! Unforgivable!!!!

I honestly don't know how you can say I'm angry, frustrated, or wrong. (I'm going to get in trouble again. Wait for it: 3, 2, 1,...)

Adam mention. www.yahoo.com/music/american-idol-top-11-night-qaasim-middleton-114120459481.html?soc_src=unv-sh&soc_trk=tw‘American Idol’ Top 11 Night: Qaasim Middleton Gets Lucky, Gets SavedLyndsey Parker Managing Editor March 20, 2015 Some interesting things happened on American Idol this Thursday. Nile Rodgers, one of the most qualified mentors in Idol history ( he’s worked with Madonna, Bowie, Daft Punk, even Idol alum Adam Lambert), made a very special appearance. Good times! Also Jax, the clever girl who wore “ The Dress" onstage a couple weeks ago, eschewed the usual boring Movie Night staples (no "I Believe I Can Fly" for her!) and did… Adam Sandler’s "I Wanna Grow Old With You," from The Wedding Singer. This was the most awesome and unexpected Movie Night song choice since Crystal Bowersox did Kenny Loggins’s Caddyshack theme in Season 9. And even more awesome? Later on Thursday, the actual Kenny Logins showed up and sang “Footloose.”Let’s daaaaaaance! .. Joey Cook – Joey did the Donnie Darko version of “Mad World,” and I am sure the Glamberts will come after me for this, but it was practically on the same level as Adam Lambert’s rendition from Season 8. Eschewing her usual goofiness — no accordion, no ukulele, no wacky dancing or Postmodern Jukebox hyperstylization — Joey gave a simple and stripped performance, totally in the moment, totally connected to the audience and the song. And she thrilled without even getting up out of her chair. J.Lo loved seeing this different side of Joey and compared her to Sia. Harry loved how Joey “chewed on those lyrics.” Keith Urban mused, “You’re such an artist.” I have really enjoyed seeing this once-gimmicky girl blossom, in such a short time, into such a fascinating and multi-faceted performer. Joey Cook is the real deal. (Joey's performance) Joey voice is a gimmick. It's part of her schtick. Her MW was more serious than usual, but it was certainly not in the same class as Adam's MW.
