(I'm still on page 14, so maybe you have already discussed this) I don't remember him having done it in Switzerland, but in Sweden he missed a performance because of his stomach flue. He was supposed to perform at some kind of a big gay happening in Stockholm. The members of his band were sick in Switzerland, but they played nevertheless. It was an award show and I don't think we are even sure that he was supposed to perform. He was supposed to present an award to someone and he cancelled the appearance that night but he did interviews in his hotel the very next day. I believe there was a blogger who interviewed him that day who later wrote jokingly about that fact that Adam gave her the stomach flu. Said it was totally worth getting sick. The band got it first but they did one of those radio performances for contest winners and I seem to remember a lot of the radio people and contest winners ended up sick within a day or so as well. I remember there was a lot of joking on twitter about who was the "typhoid mary" who started the plague. Yes. you are right. I now remember how we were speculating, if he's going to sing there or just present an award to someone.  |

Artists do reschedule shows but they really try to avoid it. I know that Adam has never missed a concert post Idol, but I do not believe he has ever missed a performance -- including when he was in Wicked and Hair etc. ETA: And he has performed when he was sick before. He even managed to keep doing the Idol Tour when he had vocal stress issues. I vaguely recall that he missed 1 performance once.. I think it was a promotional gig in Switzerland? Re: The Crashed Car topic---the only car Adam talked about crashing up was his dad's Volvo when he was a teenager. I think if he were involved in any subsequent car accident,{POST IDOL} the whole world would know about it. Just think back to the "drunkin bar brawl incident in Finland." Couldn't put on the TV without hearing about it ad infinitum! Wasn't that Volvo his own? I remeber him saying that his first car was a Volvo Wagon. ??? Or maybe his dad also had a volvo? |

We know the answer to this -- Queen -- specifically Brian and Roger. Brian and Roger never met with Adam during or after the Idol file. All three have said this in interviews. Brian said that they wanted to talk with Adam about doing something together and when the EMA 2011 performance came up they (Queen) contacted Adam. Thanks. Thought there might be more to the story. Brian apparently followed closely Adam's career. When the Time For Miracles was released (2009), Brian wrote in his blog: "I have to say I was completely blown away … it’s truly sensational. In fact it’s so obviously a number one smash, any bookie would be mad to take bets on it. I am not kidding. I’m not easily moved to jelly by male vocalists … but Adam’s voice reaches out with sensitivity, depth, maturity, and awesome range and power which will make jaws drop all around the world. Its an awesome performance. No doubt about it. The world of Rock has a bright new star.”
