It might be a skit that they worked up to do during the concert?
Don't know of a song called "Skit"
Happy New Year to all!!!!
eta in case yall accross the pond don't know what a skit is: a short "play" acted out, usually humorous.

Hi Gardeners, I'm really swamped with Christmas preparations, but I do check to see what is up. Need to go back and re-read Alison's post, so many great comments about it, it will take some more study from me.
Nikki, glad to see you back.
Seuolmate, love the video, it was beautiful, thanks!
Junie ~ I love that you are always here bringing something interesting and fun, thanks for keeping it all together!

water moccasins, not out here, but yes, bears are coming up from Mexico because of the drought, I haven't seen any yet, but they have been seen in our area. Ferral hogs can weigh up to 350 lbs. and can kill a horse. A pack of javelina can be viscious, and there are no trees around here to climb up to get away from them. Add to that rabid skunks. Many of you ask why I would own a gun, knowing that it can kill a person. We don't own guns so that we can kill any persons. I shoot targets and beer cans, and an occassional rattlesnake. My husband shoots deer, 1 per year according to our hunting liscense, and we process it and eat it. Course there aren't many deer out here since the drought has been going on for the past 7 years. We have gone without deer meat for the past 4 years. A rabid skunk climbed over our rock fence and attacked my dog and her 6 two week old puppies. My son got me out of bed, I grabbed a pistol, and had to shoot 3 times to kill the skunk. It was dark, and the skunk was moving around, and I am not that good with a pistol. All but 2 of the puppies were killed, and we had to pen up the mother for 3 weeks to make sure she didn't have rabies. My dh and his best friend, both vets, slept through the whole thing. This all occurred 12 yards from my back door. Welcome to my world.
Ok. But why an assault weapon?from my original post on this issue: I live very near the Mexican border, and the drug cartels are moving in very fast down here. They have plenty of assault rifles. If we don't, how will we protect ourselves? The Border Patrol can't even protect themselves, and are not allowed to shoot these invaders. If they do, they get sent to jail. ....... We live in an area where there is real danger. I am NOT in favor of banning assault rifles. The drug cartels have them, the criminals have them, the gangs have them. If they are completely banned, the above mentioned groups will still find ways to get them and use them. Law abiding citizens will not be able to protect themselves, and will be out gunned and unable to defend themselves. The bottom line is that if these guns are banned, the outlaws and crazies will still find them and use them, and good people, like me, will be unable to protect ourselves. These guns are being made and sold, and will continue to be available, and a ban on them will only drive the black market and more criminal activity. Read more: atop.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=socialaction&action=display&thread=332&page=9#ixzz2FQfaagO9as to specifically why we bought one? They are fun to shoot, and we enjoy shooting targets and beer cans.

I have not been hiding, just really busy with RL stuff. Thanks to those of you for having my back, you know who you are. Thanks granduchesspf for providing education about the dangers we face in the border states, they are very real.
Last night I went to a Christmas Ball that was also a benefit for our local health clinic. The band that played donated their time, and the lead singer was the Chief of Police of a town in our area, and his 2 sons. There was an auction of 2 items to benefit the clinic. Before the auction started, the organizer of the event said "I'm not a preacher, and I don't really know what to say, but I just wanted to say how terrible the Newtown massacre was, and how sad the loss of the children and teachers is, and my heart goes out to the people there, so maybe we could just say the Lord's Prayer." We all bowed our heads and prayed together. Then, a 357 rifle and a large bottle of Crown Royale were auctioned and brought in $1075 for the health clinic. What I think most of you don't understand is that guns are an integral part of our lives, for many reasons. Everybody down here has guns, and enjoys shooting them, and no one views them as killing machines. Some of you may not believe me, but let me assure you, they are necessary where I live.
I appreciate everyone's input, information, and points of view on this very serious issue. I will come back and answer some of the questions that yall asked about my comments as soon as I have adequate time to respond.
In the mean time, I encourage everyone to keep the discussion going. This issue about the how and why of the Newtown tragedy, and issues on gun control, mental health, and violence in our entertainment industry and the video games our children play will be prominent in the news and in the forefront of our national conscience, until we find some solutions.
I know that my views are not accepted by most of you, and that is OK. I am not offended, even by some of the really blantantly shocking responses. I guess my opinions are shocking to some of you. But please know that there are a lot of people in this country that feel pretty much the same way I do. If you want to understand, I will be glad to continue the conversation..........

drive by post: My impressions of the show.
Damn, Adam is an excellent actor! I will never believe him when he says he can't act or isn't very good at it. The opening piece was priceless! Adorable! Hot! Such a HOOT!!!
Did anyone else hear autotune on his opening number?
So glad he didn't fall down again, looked like those steps were slippery. So cool that he wore the red dragon jacket, he sounded great and out sang the other Keri's big time. Loved the way they wrapped themselves around him at the end of the number. Damn he is one sexy beast!
But - WTF was he wearing for the Madonna number? Oh, Adam, why didn't you wear something that showed off your sexy ass? I really wanted him to look hot and sexy for his song. Who's wish came true with the song he sang?
And most of all, I really really really wish he had sung one of his songs off Trespassing, missed opportunity, but maybe he didn't have the approval.
All in all, it was fantastic, now going back to watch again. I love DVRs!
