Queen (all four members) have a reputation of not being great with the press -- and they earned it. Freddie, god love him was terrible at PR but he was the most interesting member of the band. John did not like to talk to the press. Brian and Roger are the best of the 4, but not great for different reasons. The British press was not very kind to Queen -- particularly from 1982-1991. They were particularly brutal to Freddie and Brian who were usually the PR leads. After Freddie died, the press was nicer but there was really no one to speak with for about 10 years. Queen and the US press - particularly the rock and music press - was a mess. They (and EMI and their US Promo Team) really, really screwed up a lot. Most famously in 1978 with the huge press event for Jazz. Even naming a rock album Jazz demonstrated how little that they understood America and American English. Queen really made many cultural missteps in the US. Coronation Street music video -- why ever would they release that in the US? Playing Sun City -- bad in the UK, devastating in the US. I could go on, and on. From 1991 - 2002 Brian rarely did any interviews -- it is the period he suffered from severe depression and had a breakdown. He talked about it here: www.brianmay.com/brian/magsandpress/dm160502/dm160502.html It was pretty harrowing. The fact that Brian is back and happy and was able to do so much since 2002, including this big tour, is amazing! He is like a cat with nine lives and I think he only has 5 left. ** Adam brings something new to Queen when it comes to PR -- in the US, Canada and most of the world, he has been great with the press and is at a higher level in terms of his ability to be charming, witty and say nothing new but give it a sense of newness vs. most musicians. He also is more "global" partly because he came of age in the connected global world. Thanks Q3!!! This is something that I didn't know about Brian. > www.brianmay.com/brian/magsandpress/dm160502/dm160502.html < After reading this, I respect him even more.

I think I posted in a dead thread, so I quote myself from yesterday! Oh ... new pics!!! (I found them on Gelly's twitter!) It seems that Adam has another new tattoo, is it a "Q" with a crown for Queen!?! Where is the new tattoo? I can't see it.
