I'm glad Ryan will have adam on his show, but I'll be happier if he actually spins him regularly. Baby steps I guess. That would be really nice. Baby Steps...

asashesscatter.com/2012/01/13/healing-voice/Healing Voice By tepeswrr An Open Letter to Adam Lambert By W.R.R. I listened to it on repeat for hours until I could finally fall asleep. I listen to it often, on good days and bad days; and I often wonder if anybody has told you what you mean to them, told you that your voice heals wounds of the heart, the spirit, and the soul. You help us dance, but on bad days, on hard days, you help us breathe, even when you take our breath away. Thank you for sharing your gift. I’m going to listen and breathe, until I’m strong enough again… to dance.~ ~ ~ © W.R.R. 1/6/2012 For Adam Lambert, my stepping stone; and for all those who have felt the healing spirit in his unrivaled voice. We are still here, and we are listening. This entry was posted on Friday, January 13th, 2012 at 3:44 pm and posted in Adam Lambert, Child Abuse, Crossroads, Essay. I like to think of people here at Adamtopia as having good sportsmanship. i.e. being gracious about those who are not at Adam's talent level. I like to think of people here as that little bit more empathetic and more capable of putting themselves in other people's shoes. I also really like to think that, considering we all have weaknesses, we do not pick on others like so many at other forums do (some are like lions in a Roman arena, or vultures in the desert) Huge kudos to Durbin for his fight and his courage to get where he is. He has a mild social problem. It is mild but it is very real. Just as Adam is wired the way he has been wired. Durbin is wired the way he is and had no choice in the matter. This is a personal request, not an Adamtopia requirement. Please lets not be like the others out there who pick on those not at Adam's level, and the more vulnerable, but rather be the one's who get it. Durbin is more vulnerable. I am not feeling sorry for him. It is a fact. It is truly unsportsmanlike to pick on people in general. But when you represent the winner, the best of the best, which Adam is when it comes to vocals, being and entertainer, and social abilities, all the more reason to be kind and gracious about those who are not at that level. Another lesson we can learn from Adam himself.Skylar, once again you struck a chord with me. I really, really try to live my life by this rule. I'm nowhere near to Adam's level, but I try.... While I admit I might secretly be entertained by the clever snark cultivated elsewhere (mostly Twitter) I try not to engage myself too much with that. Firstly, because I'm here for Adam, and putting down others does not help him. Secondly, because any kind of negativity does not make me feel particularly good or smart personally. Regarding JD; he's not my cuppa, but I wish him all the best with his career. He's trying to do something with his life/passion/talent, which I totally admire. If we think it has not been easy for Adam, it's ten times harder for JD, and he's doing the best HE can... J/S... ETA: Just wanted to add, that every artist is constantly judged; if you want to work within this industry, criticism comes with the territory. Grow a thick skin and make the next performance/record better. But when commentary turns to mean/hateful and is more about the person than the performance, I do not enjoy that. On the other hand, JD is an easy target, he reacts without thinking. Unfortunately for him, it's not gonna help him build his career. So I just choose to ignore him & his comments.

Speaking of alternations, can anyone recommend a simple, cheap (ideally free) program that can just slow down the tempo of a recorded song?Nothing as fancy as what got done here on the "Adam" song . Just something that can slow down the tracks on the CD that came with my daughter's piano book to a rate that an actual child could play. Hey guys, asked this in the old thread, but its deader than a doornail. Would appreciate hearing any suggestions peeps can come up with. Also, can someone explain MIDI to me? I grew up with piano, not keyboards and I'm unfamiliar with the terminology (and this acronymn is everywhere. ) Thanks!! (Me and my future gleeful tricking the unwary into believing wacky demos are actually unpublished Adam songs thank you!) ;D HSM, I dunno if you have an answer to this yet, but from the FREE softwares out there Audacity is one of the best & very easy to use. I'd go with that. audacity.sourceforge.net/

I love Byron! From his description of Trespassing (the track): Best line has gotta be “Wait till ya get a load of me”. I just have to hear Adam sing this line “Wait till ya get a load of me”... It's gonna be so DELICIOUS!!! ... drooling already.... what images... join me in the gutter, will you? 8-)

OMG -- where this one leaves off is where the one I saw started. It's like the person was filming along the steps that went up to the entrance. It was short and filmed by a fan. I don't remember anything that would've been filmed from the back. Hmmm... How's this? Or this?
