Having been born and raised in New York--and moving to California when I was 25 years old, I can tell you that I attended the circus at MSG when I was a little girl and several other events there throughout my childhood and young adulthood.I worked in Manhattan throughout my college years and I would often pass by the marquee and look up to see who was performing. I can tell you, for sure, that I was never as overwhelmed with emotion as I was when seeing the photo with the Queen-Adam Lambert names on the Madison Square banner posted yesterday. Can you imagine what a thrill it must be for Adam??? Dreams really do come true. Of course this is one of those times I wish I still lived just a subway ride away from "the Garden" as New Yorkers say,so I could be there on July 17th. But, I'm still counting my blessings because I'll see this amazing concert in Las Vegas and Los Angeles and I know I'll treasure the memories for always. Yes, I'm still smiling and happy for all of you going to "the Garden!" Blow a kiss to the marquee for me as you walk by....... Awww... Will do!!

Adam's version is actually one half step higher than Renee's. I am sure a techie could make it work. However, tho the song was very effective for Adam on Idol, and he wrings emotion out of it, melodically, and in terms of vocal prowess, it is very simple and repetitive. I'd love for them to duet on something more challenging for both their voices. Renee is one of the few opera singers I have heard who can and does modify how she sings to fit the song genre. She is able to turn off and on her "opera voice." I am pretty sure Adam can do the same. We have heard it to some extent already. While I agree that the song is quite repetitive, I would say that whoever (Adam, Michael Orland or Rickey Minor) came up with the AI arrangement is a genius (I suspect it was a cooperation). They have added enough variation to prevent it from getting boring, and in all the right places! Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow -> going down instead of the usual up ...I find it hard to take -> this time going up! It's a very, very mad world mad world -> again going up instead of repeating the same monotone way ... Sit and listen, sit and listen -> up! listen! Went to school and I was very nervous -> best word ever! he found the vibrato and used it every single time. Trade Mark. No one knew me, no one knew me -> high prolonged meeee Hello teacher tell me what's my lesson -> emphasizing the lesson instead of going down in the same circle Look right through me, look right through me -> on stage, he pretty much stood up together with increasing the volume on mee ... And I find it kinda funny I find it kinda sad -> alternative melody, we don't want to be bored here... And so on. Try to listen to any other slow version, including SuBo's or Renee Fleming's and your ears will be bored to tears (if ears could cry, of course) I think some of the AI arrangement was from the Gary Jules version: www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYY-a0_Bb9Y

So glad to see Kevin (beatboxer, cellist) singing here. One of my dreams is for Adam to do a one-off collab w/PTX. Hey, he did recently meet Scott Hoying (tall blond dude). Also PTX and Adam have collabed separately w/Todrick Hall's (?) production. So hopefully they have some small degree of separation and it's not an impossibility. #fingersandtoescrossed BTW, MyS*&@^#r, I would go to a PTX concert if they are in my area. (I saw your question way after it was posted the other day.) They are starting their 2014 tour in 4 days. But the U.S. leg is 100% sold out! Wow! All sold out? Reminds me of Adam's GNT.

I was messing around trying to add my chapf smiley to my profile and I lost my original avi in the process. While trying to find my avi, I came upon this old GIF from Sweden. Forgive me, just had to post it. BRB, off to find my old avi.

I'm getting more anxious to hear Adam's version Wildest Moments. I keep replaying the snippets we have. I just found this new Pentatonix video this morning and it's making me ache to hear Adam sing. They usually do covers, but I don't know who did this song originally. Anyone know? ETA: just found out that two of the members wrote it. Beautiful.
