Absolutely PERFECT!
TBH, some of the other voices are painful to listen to. And some are phenomenal like Adam. Why not just have a few great voices instead of an uneven mix? I'm sure it felt good for Adam to take part, but I wish he had a bigger role. because it is about the message, not about voices - good or bad It is about People - Adam to be invited is an honour, bc it shows TPTB think he will draw attention ... and he adds a beautiful facette to the whole

Aleks @aleks_kv
And the award of expressing weltschmerz in less than 7 seconds goes to Adam, of course. A lot of actors couldn't pull that off. Aleks - if you are around, please define weltschmerz. I could look it up, but I know your definition will be the best! Sheldon Cooper's definition is quite good too: www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCc9nyxqR44Ah:) I love Sheldon, and he gave a completely accurate definition, as usual:) "The depression that arises from comparing the world as it is to hypothetical, idealized world." Nowadays, when people's intelligence is measured by their ability to deal effectively with their environment (among other things), I feel like open displays of weltschmerz are often frowned upon, but I think there is no good art without it, or all good art stems from some sort of it. And I also think that even though Adam expresses his weltschmerz pretty rarely and in a timid manner, he receives criticism for it, from the most serious issues ("Underneath", for example), to the banal one regarding the Nick Jonas incident. But the important thing is that he genuinely has it, therefore his genuineness as an artist can never be questioned, which is not something that can be said for most artists out there. No one ever thinks about how John Lennon sang, it is completely irrelevant in his case. That's why Adam is such an intense and complicated artist, because you can feel his emotional and intellectual fertility and hear his amazing talent at the same time, and those don't often come hand in hand; then get the child of that passionate marriage in most of his songs, and then have to endure getting sucked into endless inane discussions about charts and positions like that is all that matters or matters at all. What the fuck.

Gelly @14gelly 10m10 minutes ago RT @shalomlife: Adam Lambert Sings John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ For Charity dlvr.it/7ZxRtx
Adam Lambert Sings John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ For Charity Katy Perry, will.i.am, Cody Simpson and others join Lambert.
By: Ashley Baylen Published: November 20th, 2014 in Culture » Music » News (Pic here of Adam singing Imagine but it won't post for me! )
UNICEF sees Bob Geldolf’s Band Aid 30 and raises it with a 25th anniversary of the Convention of the Rights of the Child. The organization has enlisted a number of internationally renowned pop singers for a remake of John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’.
UNICEF’s #IMAGINE project is an interactive campaign that encouragers the public to support the international agreement by governments to recognize the needs of children around the globe. Users are being asked to record their own version of the song online, with UNICEF hoping to ultimately create the world’s largest choir.
The individual recordings submitted by the public will be combined with the celebrity recordings to create a multi-lingual “world” version of Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ with an accompanying music video produced and mixed by David Guetta. The final version will be released during the holiday season.
"The Convention on the Rights of the Child asked us all to imagine a better world for children - and calls on all of us to make that vision a reality…The #Imagine project gives people across the globe a chance to join a global movement for children, lending their ideas, their visions and, not least, their voices to advance the rights of every child, everywhere," explains Anthony Lake, UNICEF Executive Director.
Adam Lambert, Katy Perry, will.i.am, Nicole Scherzinger, Cody Simpson and Suki Waterhouse are just a few of the celebrities lending their voice to the campaign.
