TBH, some of the other voices are painful to listen to. And some are phenomenal like Adam. Why not just have a few great voices instead of an uneven mix? I'm sure it felt good for Adam to take part, but I wish he had a bigger role. I think the point was to get as many people (and their fan bases) to pay attention to it. Also international stars/singers. I think that Adam sang an entire verse, or the whole song as did others, and they edited what we got. Otherwise, I think Adam's eyes would not have been closed for his entire part. They caught him in full emotion. That's why they are asking regular people to participate. It increases buy-in to the cause. IMHO I listen to it a few times without the video, and you can sometimes hear on the duets, two performers who are singing in different keys! I just think the editing or the pairings could have been better. It is a great cause which I will definitely support.

TALCvids @talcvids · 4m4 minutes ago Katy Perry, Adam Lambert, Will.i.am , David Guetta & More Team for Charity Version of "Imagine" abcnewsradioonline.com/music-news/2014/11/20/katy-perry-adam-lambert-william-david-guetta-more-team-for-c.html …
Are you tired of all-star charity videos yet? Here comes another one. In support of the 25th anniversary of UNICEF's Convention on the Rights of the Child, a bunch of musicians and celebrities from all over the world have come together to help create the world's largest charity sing-along with a version of John Lennon's classic song, "Imagine."
In addition to watching the video for the song, which features stars like Katy Perry, Adam Lambert, Will.i.am, David Guetta, Nicole Scherzinger, Danny O'Donaghue from The Script, Lance Bass, MAGIC! frontman Nasri and Lennon himself, you can get in on the act.
By downloading a special app, you can you can record your own version of "Imagine," as well as personal messages about what you imagine a better world for children would be like. Then, share the recording with the hashtags #EVERYVOICECOUNTS and #IMAGINE. Visit Imagine.Unicef.org for more information.
David Guetta will gather up those recordings and produce a multi-lingual "world" version of "Imagine." Contributors who do their own versions of the song have the chance to have their voices and their videos used in the new version, which will be released close to New Year's Eve.
Non-musical stars who are featured in the video include Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Idris Elba, Scott Foley, Seth Green, Taye Diggs, Patricia Arquette, Dianna Agron, Nina Dobrev and Amy Brenneman, among others.
