Oh, Bama and Dancy -- I am so sorry that you returned unwell. Not the best way to travel.
I was very lucky and returned feeling better than I left. Perhaps that is because I live in exile in an even grayer, snowier and colder place than the UK so I did not have any climate shift.
Frankly, I would happily move back to the South and have returned with a massive head cold or flu. That will go away and I have 3 more months of snow to look forward to.

Thanks Q3. I'll take my 3 weeks of sinusitis over your 3 months of winter as well. Perhaps those around me were fortunate that I was less active/animated than I normally would have been. lol....But come showtime each nite.....I felt like a million bucks! That one eye connection from Adam at Nottingham made it all worthwhile. Linda, Nadine, Sandy and I all got noticed and even a thumbs up on one of two trips up our golden ladder.

So all those who picked up bugs in UK and are suffering. As far as I know Oil of Oregano won't interfere with antibiotics - but then I never take antibiotics so haven't actually tried. I am pretty sure my mum took them both at the same time before the Wild Oil of Oregano built up her immunity so she didn't need the antibiotics to fight things off. I'm sure a quick google search would confirm. Also it's technically called Wild Oil of Oregano - quite different stuff than you grow in your garden :-) And here ends today's health help line session. Thanks Bridgey ! It's been many, many years since I took an antibiotic. Guess I'll continue with them for this round of treatment, but will research these other two options going forward. I've never had the flu...knock on wood....and can only imagine how awful Dr Bri must be feeling. At least he has access to good meds I'm sure. Dancy.....sorry you're sick now. I had to trudge thru each day....some days I could barely talk....and poor Sandysva had to listen to me cough nightly for almost 2 weeks. She's a saint and deserves a medal. Lelemaple....glad you nipped yours in the bud. I usually can as well.....but not this time. But the good news is.....I felt great during each one of my 6 concerts. Wasn't able to sing too well...very hoarse...but the power of Adam pulled me thru, then I'd crash afterwards. OK......moving on from ailments... lol Bama, Did you actually pick up the bug in the UK or in the states?

Dancy....not sure. I started getting a sore throat the first night after we landed. Started out slowly, then progressed. The hoarseness and coughing was the worse part....along with the lack of sleep. I was pretty much a zombie during the day. I had flown up on Tues nite to DC and then started getting sick like on Friday nite after flying to Heathrow. Have you been to the doctor? My husband insisted I go...he said I looked and sounded terrible. I never go to the doctor....but relented and went to Urgent Care.
Hope you get to feeling better. My steriod and antibiotic shot today has me feeling a little better already. I've never taken steriods...heard they give you energy.
