I'll take this fun vid as my starting point for a completely incomplete recap... mostly because I just arrived home (disentangled my bag, took a bath, checked if my fav new Q+AL fan finally blogged as promised [not yet, but he tweeted] ...) and partly because I enjoyed taking part in Brians selfie project twice, and partly because I CAN PINPOINT MYSELF (as a blurb) IN VIENNA AND MUNICH!! ego much??? Sooo Munich was my favourite. I went with clematis again and (don't tell her) love her to bits. She is so easy to get along with, not even being lost in the Olympic Park after midnight for an hour bothers her. And berting together with her was the icing on the whole cake. I have seen Q+AL this time once again one day after the other and I need to describe the happyness of having seen two shows, with very different seats/views: Vienna from rather in the back, full frontal view for the whole SHOW EXPERIENCE (awsome, mesmerising, impressive, tender, colourful, ..... etc pp, you know all the words) and then Munich, from the closest place to the right hand side stage you can be without floating on air. And I don't know, I can't say much about Vienna, because without having seen the Munich show, I would have deemed it perfect, and would have been fully happy, no wish unfulfilled. Plus insanely grateful that the Vienna audience was so fucking awsome, responsive and calling the band back for the encore with a very coordinated "we will rock you" stomp/clap. *sigh* I was happy and in heaven and did not sleep much after. And then there was Munich. ..... Q+AL Munich, February 2, 2015 - guys remember that date! ADAM WAS INSANE!! Happy and bouncy, sexy and slinky, boysterous, constantly moving, bouncy, intense, - did I say bouncy and dancy? Almost every song had some element that surprised me or was different or better than I knew from videos etc. I don't / can't get into specifics, but that is the feeling I take away. I am not alltogether sure if it was the close seats or my perception, or just AFL all by his glorious self. He was awsome. Roger's Kind of Magic was even more impressive too IMHO, he blows me away. ...... I could go on for hours, it just was fucking awsome .... </img> I see, I am rambling, as i expected. OK, I'll go back to sorting through the evidence, pictures and vids (both not good quality at all, but who cares I would not know how to share anyway). Oh ... one more thing: The audience in Munich was looooud!!!!! And so into it, you could power Austria with the energy for a month!

It is so wonderful to be lucky enough to have two different points to see the show - macro and micro so to speak! The consensus after watching the videos is that Munich was seriously "the best ever", so you are lucky to have been there! and we still have a dozen to go!!! woohoo!!!!

Stone Cold Crazy - Just noticing that Adam knocked down the microphone stand (about 1:35) and does a new move with the mic around 1:50 that I saw a gif of on twitter earlier. www.youtube.com/watch?v=tShGCgXM2Ywvia Dany Orban from the set above

This is the best concert ever!! I really mean it! you know, I keep joking about it but it's becoming almost scary...cause it's true! Are we all hypnotized? How is this perpetual "best ever" shit even possible? seriously...I am at a loss...but let it continue this way! right? I have a theory about this and it all relates back to the pain of childbirth. So, when a women has a baby the pain is excruciating but a selective memory loss occurs quite quickly, intellectually we say the pain was terrible but our body does not really remember the extent. Then as we tend our beautiful baby, we almost completely forget until we have another child and suddenly, Oh shit that hurts, why did I do this? I did not really remember it hurting this bad. Rinse and repeat.
In some ways, listening to Adam live is like that instead of pain though, it is pleasure. After a very short time, intellectually we know that Adam live is amazing but our body, eyes, and ears slowly minimize because how can anything that great be true. We listen to videos, we look at photos, and they are wonderful but they are a shadow of the truth. Then we go to another concert and what happens may not actually be the best concert ever, it could even be the exact same as the last, but we are overwhelmed viscerally by the reality ... it is no longer an intellectual experience. The best concert ever!!! Rinse and repeat.
