No issue with Proboards or this forum right now. If you have a local issue -- slow data connection, no resources available on your computer/device, etc., the embedded images will load very, very slowly or not at all. **** Glamberts have pulled ahead but not by much! Vote for us! popcrush.com/britney-spears-britney-army-adam-lambert-glamberts-best-fanbase/ I've found that if I'm not logged into ATOP (on my PC), there are often missing tweets or photos (i.e. images of tweets). If I log in, they then show up. They USUALLY show up on my iPad, where I'm always logged into ATOP. I have a pretty fast Comcast connection, use Firefox on my PC, and am not using a ton of resources (usually no more than 3 tabs open at once).

Well the 2 hour shows started last night and there was plenty of time to compose themselves. I definitely expect Adam to be on to perform & even mentor That's not true for those contestants who had to wait through most of the two hours to find out if they were staying or going home. Nick was the last one to be called to the stage to sing, and as he watched his fellow contestants being declared safe one by one, he had to fear that he was the one who would be eliminated. Then it was, "Okay, now, sing!" seconds after he finally learned he was safe. That could not have been easy. If they're not going to have result shows, I wish they would just announce the person voted off at the beginning of the show and then proceed with the performances, but I imagine they want to keep up the suspense. I know it's cool to put down Idol these days in favor of The Voice (which I stopped watching after the first season because it bored me and I do not think the singers on it are better than the ones on Idol--some are, some aren't) but I'd love to see Adam come back to Idol to perform or mentor. He's one of their success stories and if there's one thing Idol can brag about that The Voice can't, it's success stories. Totally agree Murly. I think they have the most talented line up in years, this year. There are at least 3 really good females that could easily make it and 3 or more boys.

"We’re here, we’re queer, we work out! We get it!
Even Adam Lambert has fallen prey to this most basic of selfies."

Kelly Clarkson is going to mentor for the AI Top 8 on April 1. There is an Adam mention. Gelly @14gelly 8m8 minutes ago Adam mention www.bustle.com/articles/69576-kelly-clarkson-is-returning-to-american-idol-youll-be-so-excited-for-her-big-role …
Thirteen years after winning the original title, Kelly Clarkson is returning to American Idol on April 1. The OG winner has come back to perform on the reality competition show over the years, but this time around, she’s upgrading her status to a mentor for the Top 8 contestants and singing a song from her new album, Piece by Piece. The exciting news was announced on the live Idol results show on Thursday night, and funny enough, this isn’t Clarkson’s first on-screen mentoring — she helped out Team Blake on The Voice back in Season 2 of the NBC show. But now that she is mentoring, will this spark Clarkson becoming a judge on American Idol (a.k.a. everyone’s dreams coming true)? It’s very possible if the timing works out. “With American Idol, they have asked me to do it before, and I would totally do it, but they’ve always asked me at the most horrible time,” Clarkson told Glamour. “It’s like two weeks before my tour starts, and I’m like, ‘I can’t be in two places at once!’ But I love those shows and what better example than someone who won one and is successful.” I think it’s about time that an Idol alum takes a spot at the judges’ table . Adam Lambert has popped in a few times to sub in for other people, but no one permanently. And who is more qualified about the show and the success you find after it than actual winners? But hey, for now we can be happy with Clarkson as a mentor, because I’m sure some contestants have waited a lifetime for a moment like this.

He's one of their success stories and if there's one thing Idol can brag about that The Voice can't, it's success stories. Last week Quentin Alexander was called at the end as a wild card and then immediately had to sing. He was so overcome with emotion that he started crying at the end of his song. It's a lot of pressure for these kids! The music business is a lot of pressure. If they can't handle Idol how are they going to handle anything else in their career? This is the easy part IMO.

That's true, but pressure gets to everyone at times (remember when Adam said that adrenaline affected his vocals both on "Black or White" and at the AMAs?), even professionals, and my point was that the contestants who had to wait a long time to learn their fate were at a disadvantage compared to those who were told early on in the show. The anxiety would really snowball the longer someone has to worry about being sent home. I think there should be a more fair way to do it. I like pattihum's suggestion that the bottom two are revealed at the beginning of the show and allowed to sing their "Save Me" songs first. They wouldn't have to sweat bullets for an hour or more and then have to perform, while the others, knowing right away that they're safe, could relax and focus on their performances.
