This is a very nice plane. If I had a spare $30 million + operating money I would love to have one. You can buy a used one for $12 million and a really used old (2001) one for $2 million. Too bad you have to feed it to fly it.

I've found that if I'm not logged into ATOP (on my PC), there are often missing tweets or photos (i.e. images of tweets). If I log in, they then show up. They USUALLY show up on my iPad, where I'm always logged into ATOP. I have a pretty fast Comcast connection, use Firefox on my PC, and am not using a ton of resources (usually no more than 3 tabs open at once). Sounds like it is a problem with you PC Firefox and an add on or extension. When you are not logged into ATop, you will get ads. If you have something that attached itself to your Firefox browser related to ads, it will mess all kinds of things up. More info here: support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/disable-or-remove-add-ons Also check and see if you have a lot of temporary internet files on your PC. Thanks - I checked that Firefox support page and went with the Reset (or Refresh, I forget) Firefox option as the first resort. That seems to have helped so far.

So yes, I do think the way my DH suggested would be easier. I do also agree though that they need to get used to the pressure cooker. Some did fine, even with their nerves, like Tyanna! JMHO if they have any shot of making it, these singers need to know how to sing when their adrenaline is high and they are stressed. If they can't do that, they should not be an AI finalist. Performers of all types have to audition and deal with pressure, competition and rejection. Not special for Idol. If you want to succeed in many things, you need to learn to do this. Make a speech, deliver a presentation, successfully handle a job interview, take the SAT or ACT, etc. Think about the people who make really important life-and-death decisions -- President Obama, heart surgeon, ER doc, police officer firefighter, pilot, many people in the military.....seriously it is only singing. Not everyone is cut out to be a performer -- it is about more than being a talented musician. It is also about being someone who can channel and use the audience energy to their advantage. Just looking at my favorite AI Season (the season of Adam), there is a reason why Kris Allen ended up in the final, surpassing expectations and beating Danny who was in many ways a more talented musicians -- Kris actually delivered his best performances at the end of the season while Danny choked and delivered "Scream On". >> Adam has said he could not have handled Idol when he was younger -- but I still think 18-year old strawberry blond Adam would have been a real contender to win Idol. Because he could sing, he could dance and he was not at all threatening. Stress does not necessarily follow logical explanation, sometimes just an element of surprise can bring on a weird reaction. Example: When JLo and Harry asked Adam to re-audition, there obviously was no real audition risk of elimination or failure, there was no risk of being torn to pieces by Simon Harry, Adam had sung the song gazillion times in front of knowledgeable and critical audiences, and yet, he was strangely nervous, even said so to Harry. He also behaved in a totally uncharacteristic way, and sang the whole thing with his eyes shut, not connecting at all to Harry and JLo, or the cameras, but rather diving into his own personal space instead. I assume he did that to dis-associate from the show circus that was in front of him, and concentrate on vocals, which obviously he delivered beautifully. But if I lived on a planet where I had never heard the name Adam Lambert, and somebody had shown me solely that second audition, I would not have assumed that this is a seasoned performer, who can hold an audience of 10-thousands in the palm of his hands, can fly around the stage and sing at the same time, can be goofy and camp one minute, and very macho rock and roll the next. I certainly would not have assumed that he can hold his own with a Freddie Mercury spoiled audience, when it comes to performance skill and audience interaction. The only thing I would have seen and heard, is somebody with a beautiful and exceptional and very unique voice. The kind of voice, with which he normally sings Save Me during the QAL concerts. I have never seen Adam sing with his eyes shut for any serious length of time, yet, in the moment of surprise, this is what he did. I do agree that across multiple performances, eventually, you do need to be able to perform at top level, otherwise you are not right for that profession. Performing needs to make you happy, not frightened, that is what separates those deservedly on stage from the rest of us. But everybody can have a bad moment, and my understanding is, that one girl did find herself out of the competition at that very unfortunate moment, this week. That is the brutality of this show, it can be merciless and unfair. In AI8, it was Alexis Grace, who got that ungrateful 11th spot, when it was not her time to go. I think, the show would do good, to rather eliminate avoidable stress and surprises, because there is enough stress as is. It will be a better show, if people perform to the best of their ability, rather than sound nervous, because they are jerked around, and it will make the show as fair as possible too. Sounds to me that pattihum's husband had a pretty good suggestion to achieve that, even with only one show per week.

Sounds to me that pattihum's husband had a pretty good suggestion to achieve that, even with only one show per week. Good post. I also want to point out that all stress is not created equal. Being nervous or excited before a performance is one thing. Having to sit there for almost two hours, watching other contestants being declared safe while your name isn't called, worried that you're going to be sent home, and then being told that It's Okay! You're fine! Sing now! is another. There are actual physical responses that the body goes through when experiencing anxiety and then having that mental pressure relieved. We've all heard of people who didn't start shaking until after a traumatic experience was over. Well, imagine then having to give a performance. It's different than just having a bit of stage fright. I felt that the contestants did not have to go through that in equal measure, and since Ryan reminded us many times that the contestants were being told they were safe "in no particular order," it meant that a top vote-getter might have been made to sweat it out longer than some of the others who may have had less support from the viewers. It doesn't seem fair to me.
