Bama, my brain keeps going back to "Why is the date such a secret?" The only reason i can think of is that giving the date, would tipoff a surprise. So my heart says, iHeart award performance! No need to announce it way ahead of time because the show has its audience already. People will be tuning in for everybody, not just one person. IDK, IDK!! If anyone else can come up with why the date is a secret, I will abandon my BIG DREAM!! No, don't abandon your dream! I love that you DREAM BIG! I see Misha agrees with your dream. I know Misha in RL and she's really a smart gal......lol. Do we know how this IHeart Music Award show is produced, aired, etc? Have we had this award show before? Guess I need to check it out...who, what, where and when. Sunday night, March 29th from The Shrine Auditorium in LA. Adam was there last year to present. I think last year was the first year.

LOL, thanks bamafan! Except for predicting his last album release date, I don't think my batting average has been too good with Adam-related predictions, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
In answer to your question, the iHeartRadio Music Awards air on NBC on Sunday, March 29. The first ceremony was held in May 2014.

Thanks. I was missing that piece of information, that Spotify itself has a feature to download songs to your PC. Did not know that. Makes sense that such a local play on your PC would not count as stream. I think, I will just not use that then. crazy, you aren't "downloading" the songs from Spotify to your PC, you are just making them available to play offline (if you have a premium subscription). The only way that I know of to get a song onto your pc is buy ripping the CD to your library, buying it through a retailer like iTunes or downloading it from a torrent or sharing site (which is stealing IMO).
Spotify allows you to mark 3000+ songs to be available offline for 30 days. Here is how Spotify explains it
here is a link to Spotify Questions/Guides support.spotify.com/us/learn-more/faq/#!/article/How-long-can-I-cache-offline-content
it's a great resource on how to use Spotify.
Well, if I am offline, and I am able to play it, then that means in my mind that a local copy was made by the Software and put onto my PC, otherwise there is nothing there to play. Spotify itself calls it 'download' as well as 'cache'. Both terms indicate a local copy has been created. I presume the formatting is such that the content can only be played via Spotify, so it has nothing in common with some knock-off copy that somebody may upload from wherever get their loot from. This Spotify download is completely legal and subscription paid, I was not talking about anything not allowed and I understand the 30 day limitation before re-validation is required. I'm not planning on doing that though, first of all, I am usually online anyways, and secondly, I want the plays to count as streaming.

I only play music "offline" on the walk to my car (I listen to radio or CDs in my car), otherwise I am always connected to a wifi source and the music is streaming.

Thanks, glitter, learned quite a few things from you today. That last one was just different terminology. We are on same page.

Thanks, glitter, learned quite a few things from you today. That last one was just different terminology. We are on same page. one thing to clear up so no one is confused by the Spotify "download" thing, it downloads it within Spotify so if you are playing the music offline you have to do so by opening Spotify. The music from Spotify is not available to play though your regular media player or though another media source so it's not technically "stored" on your PC but rather it is stored within your Spotify profile for access via that app.
Glad if I was able to help anyone today because ultimately we all want the same thing, huge success for Adam and any other artist we might enjoy. The new system can be confusing but if you just do what you always do it will all work out IMO so there is really no need to try twisting yourself into a pretzel to "make" things happen. JMO of course.
