We always get the new music from iTunes at 9 Pacific time. It is midnight Eastern, 9 for us. Not expecting Ghost Town to be any different.

They needed to use a picture of a handsome man to get everyone's attention. Job well done.

TBT: Someone a day or two ago talked about a former lively discussion centered on folding fitted sheets. There was another infamous discussion in days gone past. IMagine my surprise to see this at the bottom of the ATop page under "tweets from ATop members" WFMZ-TV 69News ✔ @69news Bull semen worth $70,000 stolen from farm. You're right, Adam's music videos have taken a month or so -- a couple examples: IIHY - shot May 12-13, 2010, music video released June 14, 2010. NCOE shot on May 2, 2012, music video released on May 29, 2012. But we really have no idea what is going on with most of the GT and TOH promo -- except that everything is very tightly planned and very secret. The dancer follows, etc. could be related to a music video or to a performance or to something else. If it follows Adam's typical single release schedule the music video will be released in mid-May after the song has some radio support BUT many artists release the music video with the song release and my hope is that this is what they are doing with GT. One thing in favor of the music video already existing is the photos accompanying the teasers seem like they could be from a music video. For example, in one shot he is wearing a leather, fringed jacket that suits the lyrics we have. Maybe new label = new schedule. It seems like videos are being released much closer and sometimes even at the same time as the song debut. J.Derulo's (WB artist) Want You To Want Me was released 3/9 and the video was out 3/23. Nile (also WB) debuted everything within days of one another. With sales being scarce and on-line listening and viewing being more of a factor to getting airplay attention and to charting, it just seems smart to get the video out earlier. This makes so much sense. Even singers who are not big names (Ivy Levan for one) put out videos without radio play. This is how they can get noticed.

I think it extremely unlikely anyone would lose their job over this. Fans really need to get a sense of perspective on this. If he had leaked the actual song, or gave away the ending to some secretive movie, one might realistically believe there to be repercussions. This wasn't some guy Twitter bombing, or going to sites saying "LOOK'IT HERE!" He placed a few lines from the song on his account that noone here would have realized had not overzealous fans specifically gone looking. Even then, let's be real. Even releasing the entire song lyrics wouldn't "ruin" the rollout for the song. No-one would boycott playing his song because the lyrics were released. Fans wouldn't not listen to the song. In fact, except for a very insignificant number of people (proportion wise) few people are even aware of the lyrics beyond those Adam, or blog sites, have put out there. In fact, the majority of people who will end up hearing the song will probably never have even seen these sneak peaks once the song has gone to radio. This is the epitome of "Mountain out of a molehill." Oh for crissakes, it was just a joke. I don't care what Fox's employment status is. Gezus..it's like walking onto a firing range in this place anymore. Q3: just popping in a comment here -- a general comment but this is a good example ( @vivlite forgive me for using your post to illustrate), if you make a joke be sure that it is clear in your post. It only adds two keystrokes to add a With all the fans harassing Sterling Fox, hard to tell that your post was a joke vs. all the very serious comments from others.
I left for awhile today to let off steam. Hermeticallysealed had a very valid post and I was for some reason edgy. You all can see when edgy takes precedence over common sense and courtesy what can happen. I am very glad Q3 used my post as an example of one that went awry. There is much excitement and tension now and I will take responsibility to make my posts more clear. I post this to own my stuff. Not because Q3 used me as an example. I think it's one that maybe we can all learn from. At least I know I have. My post could have been easily misconstrued. It was not conveyed with clarity, joke or no. Hermeticallysealed, please accept my apology. I know what it's like to have someone go off on me and it is hurtful and rude. I hope you will keep posting as I enjoy your posts, despite today's debacle. And to all you Atopers, sorry I tainted your day as well. I've been here so long and it never ceases to amaze me how I still keep learning lessons..sometimes the hard way. I bought a new pair of water wings this afternoon. Hopefully, they will keep me floating in a positive direction. And I think I need to hone my sense of humor doing some major laps in the shallow end.. Sorry, guys and gals.
