An interesting thing just happened. I have been accessing GT from Adam's channel on YT and it would start playing right away. Just now, for the first time, it was preceded with a Chevrolet commercial. So at what point on YT do they start inserting commercials? They must have some metric that indicates that the viewer is interested enough to listen or scroll through an ad before the song starts. Anyone know?
Whenever I play YT video, it always start with a 4 seconds commercial. I think it's been like that for few years. I don't remember it start playing right away, because I have to wait 4 second to hit that "skip ad" so I can hear or watch the video.
Since I put adblock on, I haven't had any commercials listening to the video.

As of 9:48PM EST GT Lyrics video has 832,032 views.
It's over 100K views in less than 24hrs. So I think we can hit that 1 million by midnight on Sunday or veery early Monday Morn.
PS: Yes I went back to see my post this morning and at 7am the number was 706191 views.

Thank you to whoever discovered this site. Really enjoying listening on repeat while I am busy. It is so nice not to have to push a replay button every time the song ends. It does count for plays, right? Yes it counts for plays... a very good thing.. spotify also counts for plays. I'm going back and forth..LOL

Unfortunately, in LA, by the time you can pull over and find a place to stop ........ But we are not all in LA and can listen online If I'm driving and hear it (as I did this afternoon) I have to find a place to stop in order to text the info - I listen a lot in the car, thus the dilemma

Eli Lieb is so likable in this interview. He seems really sweet. I can see why he and Adam are friends. They seem to share a lot of the same philosophies and approaches to life and people. I listened to the Adam parts, then I ended up listening until the end and starting at the beginning. One of Eli's comments reminded me of my thoughts the other day when the discussion here turned to the meaning of the GT lyric "and everyone's spread." Eli talked about people who "adopt this way of living where you're always available for the call . . . " I don't know what the lyric actually means, I can only say what it makes me feel when I hear it. I think of it as everyone's "strung out," not necessarily in a drug-induced kind of way, but in a stressed-out, grasping, anxiety-filled, spread-too-thin kind of way. Also, "everyone's spread" reminds me of that expression "nose wide open," which sorta means being compliant, led around by the nose, maybe starry-eyed and also means lusting after something (not necessarily in a sexual way). And also makes me think of people sniffing around after and willing to do anything in the chase for fame, attention, love, etc. "Everyone's spread," or keeping themselves open and available for the best prospects, in a self-serving kind of way, as Eli alluded to. But, I don't really think about the exact meaning of the lyrics at all when I listen to the song. They're more evocative than literal to me. Also, AnnAdoresAdam, I've been paying attention to the ratio of likes to dislikes on the YT lyric video, too, and been impressed, though holding my breath not wanting to jinx anything. Thanks for breaking down the percentages like that. I've wondered about the percentage of people who are engaged enough to log in and click, so it was very interesting to see those numbers, too. It looks like they've got the "who's whistling" angle going for them as a promotional hook. I, too, wonder if we will see the reveal in the video. I wonder if it could be some Hollywood legend type? Although it does sound like a youngish whistle. Or maybe a clue is hidden in the slew of black-and-white Instagram photos Adam recently posted. Lenny Kravitz, Janet Jackson, Johnny Depp, George Michael, Sinéad O'Connor, David Bowie? : ) Hopefully tomorrow we'll start to get those behind-the-scenes video teasers they hinted about.
