Wanted to add something to the Sam Smith vocal discussion, because comparisons with Adam are made.
Sam has two hurdles, one is the immediate operation and recovery. Vocal cord surgery is risky, so is re-injury during the healing period.
But the bigger question for Sam is, whether he will ever be able to sing his own material again in a way comparable to what he has been doing. If squeezing certain high notes causes vocal cord injury, then he will need to stay away from doing it. It's that simple.
Just like people have to give up sports like tennis or skiing, because of a major knee injury, it becomes a question, whether Sam at his age can learn to sing those notes within his own songs correctly, rather than squeezing them? He is still quite young, I think he is still able to learn, if he is willing to go back to the basics and relearn from the ground up. It will take time. Lots of time.
But, of course, then he will sound differently. And will a pop audience want to hear the more open (unsqueezed) sound? One of the difficult things is that to many people, the wrong technique sounds more sophisticated, and they wrongly assume that when it sounds open and easy-flowing, as Adam's vocals tend to sound, that that must just be less sophisticated, when actually the opposite is true.
It is very sad to read, what bad coaching Sam has received in his youth, how wrongly he were guided, and I am so thankful, that the same did not happen to Adam. He had fantastic coaches, who guided him right. The translation into pop chart records may not always be immediate, but slow and steady, Adam is winning over more and more people, and fine-tuning his music and his presentation....he will get there, and it is a pleasure to see him more and more appreciated for the artistry he brings to the world of music, including his exceptional and unusual vocal sounds.

Do some of these fans know where they are? I mean, the interviewer did not really take control of her interview either, but seriously, you are not in the back of a bar chit-chatting away among friends, you are on f'ing radio!!!!!! I am only half way through this - I had to turn it off, take a break for now.....just unbelievable. Adam can you tell us what went wrong with RCA? Compare the two labels for us.... Sure, coming right up Let's mention the competition to radio, while on an invite by radio.....GREAT!!!! Let's tell them, while on air.... Teacher, I know, I know, I know, please call on me, my hand is up, I know, I know, I know..... How can someone walk around on this planet earth for 50 + years, with such a lack of basic human etiquette, common sense, courtesy, and a sense of place or purpose. Jeeezzzzz..., once I've recovered, can someone please tell me, whether the second half of this is as bad as the first half, so I can plan the right amount of shot glasses to survive those 7 minutes....Thanks Wow! My impression was 180 degrees different from yours. I thought this was a private party, informal, at a bar, chit-chatting for real. I don't think it was being broadcast, was it? I liked the questions. They were substantial and about things that Adam really cares about. It never dawned on me that they were not appropriate. Different strokes. IMHO. YMMV, Etc. Hm, it says it right there on the header: San Diego Star94.1FM (thankfully at least an i-heart radio station, I looked that one up). Yes, they are going to edit this before it hits the airwaves, but you bet they will send the juicy sections of this around stations, behind the scenes.... There was nothing private, or informal about the event, everything was recorded...but clearly a few people there missed that fact. Just like they also missed, that you do not interrupt, that you might not want to talk more than the host and guest combined, that maybe some people are there to hear Adam speak, rather than you the most important fan on the planet.....and so on... alright, I am moving on to the shotglasses....done here ETA: Just stop the video at 8:34 and you see Adam cringing, in second-hand embarrassment. Yes, Pattihum, that is exactly what I felt too.

Oh my goodness! Craazyforadam, I am with you! What an obnoxious audience! Had to stop watching! Was getting 2nd hand embarrassment! Sorry, This audience made me very uncomfortable. And asking Adam about wanting to go the pop music route...with an implied why....but we love you no matter what....and please don't let them change you into a bubblegum airhead...(my words) cringe.

MoreFm Jase and Lana just said Adam well be on before 5. So it may not be exactly 4.30 pm. So in the next 4 mins or so Adam well be on from any time between 4:30 pm -5:00 pm.

New video to me. GeralynK geralynk 3m3 minutes ago Do some of these fans know where they are? The last part was open for questions. A few guests definitely had the feeling they needed to let Adam know they were superfans???? ( I think he knew that anyway, as they were at the meet and greet). books --- your comments!!! YUP!!! Shakin' my head...The interview that aired is this one ...I think media.ccomrcdn.com/media/station_content/3372/2015/05/mp3/default/adam_lambert_in_studio___0_1430921091.mp3I learned a few new things and there were some conversation answers that were different from other interviews. edit: Just takes a few, doesn't it...to spoil the integrity and to cause me to start getting nervous and queasy....maybe it seemed different to those actually living the M/G, versus viewing a recording (but I doubt it). Other guests had very respectfully delivered questions....Thank GOSH!

If you watch the video until the very end, it becomes obvious it is in a bar, a kind of like a private chat with Adam for a few invited fans. Not broadcast I assume. It was organized by a radio station, but not for live consumption.
I agree about the second-hand embarrassment, but thankfully it will probably remain on "the YouTubes" in private recordings.

DJ DigiMark @djdigimark 34m34 minutes ago Remix Video: @adamlambert #GhostTown @stevenredant remix I am generally not a fan of remixes, but for some reason I really enjoyed this one. It might not be as sophisticated as some of the earlier ones, but I guess I am not the target demo for that stuff anyway... I am surprised by the amount and quality of the remixes this early in the public life of GT.
