Thanks for responding, Jamiglambert! Good to know there are other kindred spirits who see the connections: great minds "Runnin" in the same direction..delurk more often, please. Q3, skaschep, and whatyasay, I'm hoping that "Runnin" makes a future Adam Greatest CD which would bring it back into the 'possible for live performance' realm. The Adam wails in the recorded Runnin are swoon worthy; perhaps that makes it difficult to sing live. If one of us ever wins the lottery so we can have an Atop concert, we could beg for him to go "down, down, down" for us!

To change the subject to the glorious NOW:
What moment of the GT is YOUR favorite?
Mine is the " O - o-o-o" at 2:55 and 3:11 , that big first " O" especially
ht tps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ix8ocFEMa1o&feature=youtu.be I have been waiting for an appropriate moment to post my *cough, cough* favorite moment from the Ghost Town video. I have made the screenshot I made very small so that it might not offend too much but (no pun intended) this moment has cracked me up since the first time it flitted past my vision and in no way spoils the video for me, just reminds me not to take my self so seriously. ETA: nica, I apologize for bringing your glorious moment down to my undoubtedly 11 year old level.

Just saw this photo from the Notions magazine. When are they shipping mine???? Received mine in the post this morning (UK). They apologised for the delay citing "higher than expected numbers of pre-sales". It's a large, hefty and beautifully presented magazine. All the Adam stuff - the cover, article and pics are black and white, 3 full page pics and 2 smaller ones.

What about "I Don't Need A Map" and "Take Back". Along with "Runnin" these are my favorite songs that I can't live without. I would love to hear him sing all of them live. I thought Take Back was great. Also Nirvana. Along with Runnin, I will never know why these three never made it to the outside world!!

Late last night, Cassie made a great post and Glampoon made a little Glampoon-snark post :D. I then got carried away on a dead thread with a response about what draws me to different songs. In case you are interested or bored: adamtopia.com/post/616392Just read it, and it is wonderful. I am bringing over the TedTalk video about how musicians' brains work, as I found it fascinating. It reinforced much of what I have thought about learning to play an instrument. Adam does not play an instrument, but....actually, he does. He is not like the average singer who just opens up their mouth and sings, like they open up their mouth and talk. His voice is an instrument he has studied, practiced, developed techniques for, and which involves all areas of the brain that they talk about with instrumentalists. I am sure if the scientists extended their study of musicians' brains to include highly trained, formally trained singers, they would obtain similar results. Check out this video. At less than 5 minutes in length, it presents a powerful argument for providing music education to children. www.youtube.com/watch?t=23&v=R0JKCYZ8hngYou might enjoy the full TED Talk. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ueqgenARzlE

Adam's Wiki Discography says WWFM was #10 Billboard. Maybe someone just corrected it. Q3 brought this up a couple days ago. There was a Billboard list that said it was #24, but the original charts back in the day said #10, so 24 seemed like an error that crept in. Someone who doesn't numbers can remember this story better. Not just the Wiki but on Billboard.com it now says #24. I do not understand this at all. I have not had time to research it. I know that WWFM was #10 on the BBHot 100 after the Idol performance. It had a huge sales spike that coincided with his radio peak at #13 on the Pop chart. *** ETA -- I found it: Apr 21, 2010 at 6:03pm Quote Post Options Post by krisella on Apr 21, 2010 at 6:03pm BREAKING NEWS: ADAM LAMBERT's "Whataya Want From Me" breaks into top 10 on Hot 100, rocketing 23-10 for new peak position. 5 minutes ago via web BREAKING NEWS: ADAM LAMBERT is also #1 on Billboard's Hot Singles Sales chart, where "Whataya Want From Me" enters at the top. 14 minutes ago via web BREAKING NEWS: ADAM LAMBERT scores his first Billboard #1, as "Whataya Want From Me" enters Hot Dance Singles Sales in pole position. 18 minutes ago via web Link: pulsemusic.proboards.com/thread/93953/adam-lambert-whataya-me-hot100?page=79I sent a note to Billboard's Chart Director. I thought Take Back was great. Also Nirvana. Along with Runnin, I will never know why these three never made it to the outside world!! Why? For at least two, because of BTIKM and NCOE. Only one was added to the album -- NCOE. BTIKM was selected for Adam before he started writing and recording the rest of the album. RCA A&R Execs were very proud of that choice and thought it would be WWFM #2. Not!
