What a glorious way to start my day!! Live versions of 3 of my favorite tracks from TOH!! (They are all my favorites!) Hold up hold up hold up.. It's not just raw vocals! I just realised that those were multiple takes and they probably made a few videos of the different takes (and The Scene uploaded the wrong one). You can listen to the ending of TOH on both videos -- he ends differently in both! Seems like two takes to me. And def not raw vocals. It is live recordings but this was produced. Parts are almost identical to the recordings, particularly on ALN but TOH is really different. There is one part of TOH where he is kind of off the rails a bit. They're my favourite tracks too. I thought on first listen they sounded like (especially TOH) they just recorded Adam's voice in that warehouse, while the rest was just for show... I think it's as close to Adam's raw voice as we're gonna get on TOH, but of course no one would want just raw vocals on a recording... What I wouldn't give, though, to hear Adam sing with no mics, no nothing, in an acoustically perfect room. Now, THAT would be the perfect production (in my book).

Wait, wait, wait. Don't "fix" it. I like it "raw" and real. Well, at least the vocals real. The rest is as fake as a blue aluminum Christmas tree. The pianist is playing in a key which is a step lower than Adam is singing in. The guitarist doesn't bother to even try to approximate the fingering for the chords or change them when they change in the song. And when did the dancers become singers? Haha, you can't keep anything from Cassie! One of the takes does sound like the vocals are live to me.

Wait, wait, wait. Don't "fix" it. I like it "raw" and real. Well, at least the vocals real. ... But, to my classically trained ear, it sounds more generic and less remarkable or breathtaking. Like revving the engine on a motor scooter rather than on a Harley. (So, I secretly hope someone will capture the "wrong" version so I can keep listening to it.) cassie, I just knew you'd feel this way Does it say something about me that I was waiting for your reaction as soon as those videos came up? .... Anyway, I agree with your sentiment. I want the breathtaking vocals, too - vocals that nobody (or at least very few people in the world) can produce. But maybe, in order to get that, we have to get the "more generic" stuff, as well...

Wow! Nice view, great photo. I know, did he wake up in a helicopter! I actually think it may be his view based on the photo of Sauli, just panned a little to the left and above the beach. Of course, for me, it is almost as difficult to take a bad photo of the ocean as it is to take a bad photo of Adam.

to me,the scene version (btw..the other is now pulled) of TOH sound almost uncomfortable in much of the falsetto and some lower stuff. It feels like he just doesnt quite have the muscle memory to auto tune himself there as he does in his full tenor voice. ..so he is not in the pocket at times. Give him a few more performances and it will be easier for him...ymmv

Wondering if I should upload them somewhere (with password lock) to share with you guys! Would it be right?

And I reluctantly agree with you. Adam wants that gold ring of a #1 top40 radio hit. If they have to "dumb down" (no offense meant to those who love his current sound.... that's just how it sounds TO ME) the vocals to get that, I will still support him. After all, that's the way I will get a tour where I can hear the authentic, full, real voice I love. Heck, maybe even a tour DVD/CD?
