Thank you Adam for this wonderful pic from M&G in Warsaw - one of the best TOHT concerts ever!

I listened to the live performance of TOH, and thought a couple of things. Let me begin by saying TOH is my FAVORITE OF ALL SONGS ADAM!!! The studio recording fills in my ears and my brain like orgasmic medicine. Live, as in LITV, I thought this: I want him to sing every TOH refrain HIGH - not an octave lower. Lower, it loses energy for me. I know Adam can sing it 'high' without the falsetto; but then it may seem different to him, and maybe too powerful, in the message he wants to convey through his voice. I will leave it to Adam to perfect. He will, you know. This song is too close to his very being to not evolve; just as he is evolving. I found his falsetto to be crystal. Just so beautiful and fragile; it was hard to hold in its beauty in the way it's sung. It's not supported by air; by breath control in the way other parts of the voice are strengthened and controlled. It needs to float; and Adam let it float. Let it be. So beautiful! And fragile and willing. He's capturing it; he's taming it. And we are the fortunate ones . . . watching, listening, and learning. Thank you for this post momtomany! Wonderfully said and I so agree with you!

I loved Adam's Live in the Vineyard performance. I fell asleep early last night and just woke up, but I was interested in the discussion of the vocals on the main thread and wish it could continue here. His voice is the cornerstone and if it can't be discussed civilly on the main thread then what's the point of it all. I understand if specific, technical questions come up, or someone wants to analyze the vocals of a song that's not from a current performance, or talk about music theory, etc., that it's handy to have a separate thread. But we lose so much in vibrant, engaging, enlightening dialogue when the discussion is diluted. I've always felt that way, and I know why it's been handled this way over time but it's just been so frustrating that so often you can't talk or read about the actual music in any depth on the main thread of a musician's forum.

Bought a couple of tickets on the website for me and my friend, they should arrive in the mail later in the week! That was the easy part; the hard part is going to be the queuing to get good seats on the day itself. Nevertheless, I really can't wait for NYE!!! Gonna be hearing him live for the first time!!!
CONGRATULATIONS!! I think getting ticket is the first step which is the hardest part. and you've got them.
