But.. but.. some of his fans wanted him to close the show .. In my opinion - The desire for him to be only a headliner, no co-head, no opening, must close every show is a FAN EGO issue made with no consideration of what might be best to optimize him getting new eyes and ears. We,, its always nice to see Adam as a headliner. So I dont blame the fans wanting him to close show. Anyway, I doubt it depends on fans wishes if he is a headliner or not. It may not be even Adam or his managenet decision. IMO

My only comment on the outfit discussion is thank god Adam is tall because those pants on anyone shorter and they would literally look legless!

Idol schedule just posted at MJs. Finale is April 7th. Adam should be free. Live shows start Feb. 10th. Whoa! they cut it even shorter than I thought they were going to.
I know this sounds a little grouchy, but I am more than ready for the whole Idol thing to be over and done with. Sure, I'll watch to see Adam, but I'm glad the season is shorter. Just wanting Idol to be in the past.

Although the venue was sold out, many people left as soon as Shawn Mendes finished and before Adam came on. Can't blame them. They had probably been there since 4 and it was a school night. Kids and parents were no doubt tired and hungry!!! Of course, Adam was the best (Not biased much!!!), just too bad everyone in that packed venue couldn't have heard his performance.
Kudos go out to all of you who take pics. I had my camera and completely forgot to take pictures until after the show.Appreciate your re-cap...glad you had a good visual of Adam's performance. Truly!! I mean it. You got to move up! However, with that came the price Adam paid. (Not nice to know people leave when you are coming on. And, the loss of ears that may have perked up due to his talent.) I was hoping an exodus of young people would not happen. Initially I was happy thinking that Adam was going to be in the middle of such a long concert with so many artists. or near the end, but not the closer. When I saw the post for the performance times yesterday, I posted my concern re people leaving if he was closing the night out. Darn... hate to know it happened. How much is many...half the audience , a quarter???? Just my curiosity.
"Audience exodus" happens all the time. People stay for who they want to hear and have no problem leaving even in the "best" is yet to come. There are lots of reasons why people leave early and it's not always because they don't like or care about the last act.
I remember going to the Idol tour concert when Adam performed in 2009. Adam was second to last, of course, just before Kris Allen. LOTS of people left after Adam. I heard that this happened in some other venues on the AI tour, too. It was as if Adam WAS the finale and the show was over. Felt bad for Kris. My sister and I stayed through to the end, though, and I'm glad we did. Performers are certainly aware of their placement in a multi-act concert and the impact it can have on the audience size. I'm sure there were plenty of people there who did see Adam's full set for the first time. From the photos, the venue looked like there were still lots of people there.

Oh I totally agree... as I expressed above...my sentiments are the same as yours regarding "audience exodus" at concerts. Even for QAL, the people beside Kim/me, left half way through, never to return. And a few groupings near us, left before the encore. It does not really matter WHO THE Performers IS, it can happen. My point was, with such a long concert and being at the end of a long night, the last artist...(ie Adam in this case) is more at risk to have people leave. Maybe my wording gave you the feeling it was Adam in particular they would leave because of...but that was not my intent. I just was happier when I thought he would about third from last....to have as full an audience as possible.
