I'm so happy Adam is getting the acknowledgement on this retrospective show I know he also gets a chance to inform the idols audience at home that he's also doing world tour with Queen.

In my recap which I posted in yesterday's thread, I mentioned about my niece and her boyfriend who saw Adam for the first time (thanks to a really beautiful and kind-hearted Atoper who gave them the tickets). She is a junior in college (early 20's) and her BF is a great guy in his mid-20's. She just sent me an email with her recap of the LA1 concert. I am posting it verbatim. I think you will enjoy her reaction to seeing Adam the first time. They both get Adam!
Thanks Nix for your recap.
Seeing Adam live for the first time was not only everything I thought it would be, but also so much more. From the moment he went onstage, he brought out an incredible energy that he would somehow maintain as the show continued. In fact, not only did he maintain such an infectious energy, but he would continuously outdo himself as he kept giving the fans more and more. It seemed superhuman, almost, for him to be giving that much to the crowd. He definitely gave it 200%, and it didn't even seem as if the man was sweating it one bit. He belted out every song perfectly, but would never overdo it like too many singers tend to do. He'd give just the right amount into the song, but then would surprise me by giving so much more that I never knew the songs needed until he did them.
Furthermore, the man got the crowd dancing along with him on every song, lifting them up and carrying them with him throughout the entire duration of the show. It was impossible not to hang on to his every word; he is an entertainer in every sense of the word. He was charming, supremely talented, and handsome to boot. It was easy to see why people have fallen in love with him the way they have, and why the fans support him endlessly. He is as genuine as they come. He throws himself into doing what he was there to do: sing. But more than that, he also does it with ease and sincerity that are both severely lacking in the industry.
As someone who has seen many concerts in my lifetime, Adam is truly something else. His appeal goes beyond his talent, as he is also a seemingly wonderful person himself. There doesn't seem to be anything superficial or fake about him at all. He seems relatable, he never tries too hard, and he's a total badass. He was funny, clever, expressed his desire for people to unite, and his distaste for Donald HeWhoCannot amed. Well, what’s not to love?
Another thing that really made me like him more was how he acknowledged that people paid him to be there to sing, and not to talk too much. It was totally refreshing, considering how many pop stars are so completely full of themselves that people get lost in their fake personalities and not the music. Adam is on the other side of that spectrum, as he knows that his talent is what got him to where he is in the first place. Not only does he do it, but he does it completely well.
As far as first impressions go, Adam Lambert truly knows how to leave a mark on a person. It was an incredible experience getting to witness such talent. It's really nice to know that despite his immense ability as a singer and his wealth as a celebrity have not gotten to his head in any way. No wonder his fans love him so much, no wonder they're the most loyal community of music fans I've ever seen. Beyond his unbelievable superhuman talent, he's a humble, smart, and sensible person. And you know what? My boyfriend -- who attended the show with me -- and I were instantly Glamberts before he even finished his first song. What a guy, indeed.
I love this so much. As a Glambert and fan since the beginning I love to here someone's impression after seeing him live for the first time!

fair enough. Basee on that logic why diddnt Ka get similar international attention lol. Just saying Amas catipulted him. You can also ask, why other idol winners didn't get similar international attention. Why only few idols that has international success, such as Kelly and Adam? Whey they're not interested in Carrie, or Ruben or Fantasia. Even the two Davids they're only popular in some Asian countries. I don't think there's any certain criteria about this. Adam and Kelly just have it.
To me, the answer is "star power." You might get votes and win the competition, but you might not have real star power. Plenty of AI winners have not had that quality. Good singers? Yes. Nice people? Yes. But do they have that IT factor that makes a star a star? No. Adam has it in spades. And he works very hard at it.

I'm not an Idol expert. From what I know, tho', at the present time, no other male Idol contestant is touring the US or Europe in the size venues that Adam is. Yes, Cook did for a time after Idol, but has not sustained that level of demand. Daughtry, too. And Ruben. Many former contestants are still making some sort of living as performers. Kris Allen has toured extensively, but generally to clubs and rooms of less than 500 capacity, and those not usually sold out. I think that is rather typical of former contestants. So, I think Adam is the exception, when it comes to post-Idol music careers. My daughter is s huge Daughtry fan . I've been to several concerts with her and he puts on a great show.and seems to play to nearly the same size audiences as Adam. I believe he did something like 63 shows and made 5 or 6 million last year , so he's doing well. Agree completely no one has had the international impact Adam has . Adam was born to change the world, to inspire, to spread joy and hope ,to spark understanding and to spread love through his music and spirt. Adam is a worldwide treasure and I feel so blessed to have been able to watch the world fall in love with this beautiful man. I love how you said that! Adam is indeed a special treasure that truly sets him apart. I do like some other singers, and I really like Daughtry a lot. But it's Adam who takes my breath away, keeps me guessing, makes me want to know more about his as a person as well as a singer. He is just so far beyond others IMO. And you're right. He was put on this planet not just to sing, but to spread love, enlightenment and understanding. He had me hooked from the moment I saw him.
