I am bad at recaps, but since you guys like them, here is mine! "I got to hangout with 3 of my best friends for 2 nights in a row! WOOT! ❤️ I saw 2 incredible shows! WOOT! I have a fabulous photo with Adam! WOOT! I liked Saturday better than Sunday because we were right behind Adam's friends! I think his friends being there, made him more playful! Lots of Booty shaking! WOOT WOOT!" And will we be blessed with seeing this photo..? Yes, Patti, I'm afraid you're going to have to share the photo to make up for the bitter disappointment of your recap. It's the least you can do to make it up to your fans

I had to change the notification settings too, to get things back to how they were before, so it is not just you, Ann. Some mass update must have gone through those profiles.
========================================================================
Otherwise, in other news, tonight is the first night of a good-bye trilogy on Idol, and this is today not a live show, but a flash back. So, I would assume we will get to see a bit of Adam here and there, and we will see how they did this final edit.
Official announcement from idol: "After 15 seasons of superstars, AMERICAN IDOL has become a cultural phenomenon. As the show wraps up the farewell season and prepares to crown the final IDOL, don't miss this 90-minute retrospective featuring host Ryan Seacrest, current and former judges, contestants and the behind-the-scenes team sharing their IDOL memories in the all-new special "AMERICAN IDOL: AMERICAN DREAM" airing Tuesday, April 5 (8:00-9:30 PM ET/ PT) on FOX. (SP-1616) (TV-PG D, L)"
With regards to the ongoing show, which will resume on Wednesday night, I really like the 3 final candidates this year. America got that one right. I walked my way through the top 3 videos yesterday, and I was impressed, but I also have a final observation, which brings it back to Adam.
First: LaPorsche has the depth and the emotional intensity and she lifts my spirit each time she sings. She has a presence about her that is intense. Talking about Aura, she has that.
Trent has technical sophistication in his vocals. He can use his falsetto in a very nuanced way, and does some interesting acrobatics with his voice. Given that he uses a wispy falsetto, rather than a strong head-voice for that, it sounds angsty, fragile and risky, and listeners understand how difficult it is, something that with a smooth no-gap head voice is not always the case. Trent sounds like he is going to break any second, so you listen to everything he sings, with apprehension as well as awe I might add, but it certainly is interesting.
Dalton brings the lyrical interpretation and theatricality, but the weakest vocals of the three. He also has the young girl cheering crowd on his side. He has the looks and the guy-liner decor.
I kind of would like La Porsche to win, but think that Trent will take it.
Anyhow, even though I have to say, that I am impressed with these final three, at the end of the day, I came back for some Adam palette cleansing after that, and could not help thinking:
Emotional intensity, sophisticated vocals, stage presence? They each have one out of three. Adam had three out of three in his season and did not even win.
He will be missed the next few nights (especially during this ludicrous Bowie medley they are trying to pull off somewhere), but at the end of 15 seasons, Adam still is the reigning king of all in lyrical interpretation, vocal delivery, and emotional intensity alike.

This is MP3 from LA # 2 whole show 1hr29min. This is from cos2mwiz's files I think. I know we'll get good audio from Dancy for LA# 1.

Craazyforadam, LaPorsha is the first singer that has ever reminded me of Adam! ❤️ That being said, I will be happy with any of these 3 winning. It is a strong top 3!

Having finally watched a little of the current finalists, here's my take. In m opinion, ALL of the previous AI winners had very good voices. They could hit the notes and sing very well. I may not a fan of all of the, but they could all sing. I have a real problem with Dalton. He's cute as can be, of course, and if I was 15, I'd be in love with him. But he just doesn't have the voice worthy of the big prize. He can't hit notes, he has weak tone, not much richness in his voice. Sorry, but it's true. I know he has some kind of medical backstory, and he teaches/coaches music of some kind, but that's not why he should win. He simply can't sing well enough. I think Trent is just fine. He has a better voice. I say it's time for a girl to win. La'Porsche should get it. But she probably won't. The teen girls will vote for Dalton because he's cute and emotive. And I guess the AI producers are thinking he's the most marketable one. But would he last long without the voice? I cannot wait for AI to be over. and done with. Sheesh. And I agree, of course, that Adam fits ALL the criteria for a winner. Always has, always will.

I had he same thing happen re the notifications. I also had to re-log in on each device....and re set passwords etc but I think that is fixed now. I will try to get to a recap in a bit....I got home last night after the 2 LA shows...and finally had a good night's sleep....now have to reassure the kitties they are loved, etc lol. Nothing like a fur ball to make you feel loved .... I just had to jump in to agree with Craazyforadam's bolded part....and general assessment. Adam exactly has what distinguishes all three of the final Idol contestants. I would be satisfied if either LaPorsche or Trent won...would be quite annoyed if Dalton won as he is nowhere near the talent that the other two are. Trent has a very Timberlake quality about him but better imho.....LaPorche is quite amazing...Aretha like in her presence. She would be my first choice...but Trent is really good.
