I have a little set list on Spotify that I stream continually with WTTS, ALN, WTTS, TOH, WTTS, Rumors, WTTS. I personally like Rumors and TOH. I think I read somewhere before that you had to break the songs up so that the stream would count. I think I also read somewhere that the volume bar could not be turned to off for the stream to count. In any case, I keep it going continually as my laptop is always on. In the a.m. I check it to make sure the streams haven't stopped. They tend to stop after a certain amount of computer inactivity (not necessarily Spotify inactivity). If I still had a working stand alone computer I'd probably keep that streaming.
Here's a question -- if I were to Shazam off of my Spotify set-list when it's playing, would those "hits" count? I think that they would. I'm not obsessed but sometimes I'm just sitting here talking on the phone (or whatever) and when I'm thinking about it I could Shazam.

From Carrie to Kelly, American Idol's greatest hitmakersOur music critic assesses the American Idol graduates who came closest to achieving their musical dreams. By BEN RAYNER Pop Music Critic Thu., April 7, 2016 If, like me, you’ve never seen an entire episode of American Idol in your life, you’ve still not been able to completely escape the large influence it has exerted over contemporary pop music for the past 15 years. For good or ill, the show — which wraps up its “Farewell Season” on Fox on Thursday night — has foisted a lot of would-be pop stars on the public, some of whom have actually gone on to become real pop stars. Granted, for every bona fide chart queen like Kelly Clarkson there are half a dozen Lee DeWyzes or Josiah Lemings or Carmen Rasmusens who’ve quietly gone back to waiting tables for a living and playing the occasional state-fair gig after seeing their post-Idol album releases fail to generate much excitement. But, hey, a few American Idol graduates did get to live the dream, at least for a little while. Here are seven of the best. (Adam mention) 3. Adam LambertAdam Lambert, Season 8 runner-up, has been Freddie Mercury's replacement for Queen the past five years. (Rick Diamond) One of the more colourful personalities to emerge from the Idol fold, Lambert always had the air of a pop star about him even though he wound up leaving Season 8 as a runner-up to victor Kris Allen. Turns out Lambert didn’t need the win, anyway, since he’s released three successful, appealingly glammed-up records since. He even had the honour of being the first “out” gay man to top the Billboard 200 with 2012’s Trespassing. To top all that off, he’s been Freddie Mercury’s replacement in Queen for the past five years and done a rather good job of filling those very big shoes. “Whataya Want From Me”

WOW! Finally the list I mostly agree with! I would put Adam as #1 (obviously) but other than that - it is a perfect list, ESPECIALLY in the lack of the usual suspects! BRAVO! This is a good list (except Adam IS #1) but nice to see a list based on Idol performances and singing. My ranking would be Adam, Fantasia, Kelly. But I have the same top 3, just in a different order. And the rest of the list includes most of my other favs. (No chance Kat McPhee in on my top 10 however -- but she is at #10.)

First of all a big thank you to everybody who contributes to this site and makes this a wonderful place to read all news about Adam. I live in Portland Oregon and since no shows were scheduled in my area made the trip to LA. Left Friday from Portland and with one overnight stop we made it to LA in the afternoon. We got ready for the show in a McDonalds and went directly to the theatre. I was in orchestra row D, my daughter had a seat in row T but still very good view. I have never seen Adam so close. It was amazing from start to finish. My daughter had the guts to come closer to the stage and see him up close too. She loved it. She also saw Adam before. After the concert we saw Momtomany from our car and exchanged a few words. Next day we went to Iheart radio awards and then ran to the second LA concert. We again had orchestra seats row O central. I was in shock to see Adam's mom right in front of me. Around her were many of Adam's friends, Carmit, Scarlett Cherry and her husband. Second show was as amazing as the first one. Adam was at his absolute best both shows and he was sooo happy. You could feel the love between him and his fans. We adored him and he adored us back. I have no words to express how beautiful these concerts were. During the second LA concert I went two times up front to have a closer look and I am so happy for that even if the security people were watching us. They kept sending people back to their seats. At the end of the show I felt that I could not leave without telling Adam's mom a few words and I managed to tell her: Thank you for giving us Adam. Carmit was all Awwww...then we went to the hotel exhausted but happy. Next day we left LA and after 17 hours drive we were back home. We slept about 4 hours and then I left for work and my daughter for school. So happy for making this trip. I am still on a high, looking at the pictures and watching my videos. My heart is full.
