OT and I apologize, but will tie it into Adam...lol! He loves babies!! I have a new Granddaughter, Julia Grace! I can't seem to post a pic here as they're too big. So, just put it on twitter and you can scroll down and see her. She is a doll! She was born on 4-4-16 and is a week old in the pic. I'll get to go see her in September in Hawaii!! YAY!! CONGRATS!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ ETA: And momtomany! Love both the babies' names! ❤️

This is also, to me, a good way for celebs to show their support for the LGBTQ community in their battle to gain their human rights.

What does it really matter about the pronoun for Adam when he barely gets any radio play in some places now? On my local station they played Idol songs immediately from the top Idols. Kris was played right away but no FYE for Adam. When WWFM was released they finally played it when it reached top 20. They never played IIHY.
When BTIKM was released I waited for it to reach top 20 only to be played for a short period. But my heart was broken when they played Durbin and Haley when they were nowhere near top 20. When GT came out, again top 20 before it was played. But it was almost at the end of the run so it did not last long. Fradiani was played as was D. Cook with his last song (he is not even on a label now). ALN never made it to the station at all. It is frustrating and hurtful. So why is there a fight for a pronoun? Is that going to open up radio play for him or just give fans something to smile about? If you can't get a lot of radio play you get excluded from the award shows. That keeps the album sales and single sales low. And please don't say he needs to write a hit. That is such BS.

I remember back when 'Trespassing' was just starting . . . I went to the Alice radio promo show and the DJs were all over Adam . . . I emailed the people at RadioAlice in SF and requested Adam . . . their response was 'not yet - we're just beginning the cycle' . . . but, as the days and weeks went by, I never heard BTIKM or NCOE - or anything from the album - at all . . . not even once. Fast forward to now. I've heard GT a few times; far too few for a 'hit' . . . and heard ALN maybe three or four times since its release - and I'm talking about every radio station in the greater SF area. I flip through them all, constantly trying to find something worth listening to that isn't Bieber or Swift or Levine or Adele or Sheeran or Trainor. I swear, sometimes three stations have the same song playing all at once! But it's never Adam. So, I don't get it. If someone can explain how radio play works in a way this simpleton can understand, I'm all ears. It's just frustrating to know about the great music out there - not just Adam - that doesn't see the light of day. Why?

And went gold in the states. None of the other alums did. I.Get your frustrations. Over here Adam hardly gets radioplay anymore. Played Wtts twice. Radio play though doesent effect album sales though. Touring and High Profile Performances do. Most of its Payrolla. Once again Adams comments on Pronouns has nothing to do with radio play. But The industry and labels unwillingness to let gay pop stars write about it. From an overall standpoint. Ss got a hit with Stay with me. Albeit about unrequited love for a straight man. Adam may never get radio play, even like some lesser known idols then he is. But streaming wise the other alums are no.where near Adam. He beats all of them. None of them have a song streamed over 120 mill.times on.Spotify.

Yes, and it will mean that people who work at the venues won't be hurt. I saw an interview with a couple of people working at wherever it was that the Springsteen show was cancelled, and they said that while they supported his reasons, it meant no paycheck for them. Folks who have jobs as ticket-takers or ushers or whatever don't have as much of a voice. Lauper's money will go farther to help in the fight.

I do live in an area where the local top40 has supported Adam now and in the past, but I don't get how he gets played on some top 40 like where I live, and not others? Aren't they all owned by the some conglomerate?
I was driving today and heard the new Nick Jonas song featuring Tove Lo. What a snoozer(IMO), yuck. But why is that song getting all the airplay and not something with Adam? I know Jonas is popular right now, but geez. Don't understand people like the ones mentioned above getting more radio interest than Adam...are Cook et al getting lots of streams and you tube views?
As Q3 mentioned in a previous post, maybe its as simple as some advertisers are against artists like Adam who is an outlier and likes to push boundaries. The other idols are just very mainstream. ????
