I was wondering if it was the same principle as Champagne comes from the Champagne region of France but if the grapes are grown in California, it is sparkling wine. Maybe agave not grown near Tequila would make a tequila called something else. Who knows? Did you notice the flutes at the end? It reminded me of the 'How to drink tequila' lesson from a few months ago. Someone questioned it in the comments section and the video maker said that was how you drink fine tequila, unlike the guys taking shots from a bottle cap at the beginning of the video. :D Yes....noticed the flutes and the little bottle cap shots. Pattihum......She said that list of Festivals was only Part 1 of 2.

I was curious so I Googled it! "The production of (genuine) tequila is tightly regulated because tequila has denomination of origin status. This status (sometimes called appellation of origin) sets specific standards for producers in terms of how a product is grown or produced, processed and presented. Equally importantly, it defines the geographic indication, the specific places or regions where the product has to be made. Other items having denomination of origin status include champagne, asiago cheese and Melton Mowbray pork pies." Well, there you go.

Well, that's interesting LindaG. I never realized the plant's core/pina are so big and didn't realize they are grown only in 5 states in Mexico. Wonder if they could be grown here in the SW somewhere or maybe not the right temp/soil conditions or why they are limited to a certain area of Mexico. Guess I could Google it. lol Actually, the video is good but a little off... A few municipalities of four other states are allowed to grow and produce tequila but the bulk is produced in the state of Jalisco. I live about an hour or so from the town of Tequila and there are others closer which also produce the product. Many smaller mom and pop type producers as well including several where everything is done by hand. Jose Cuervo in Tequila is HUGE!... The tours are great fun - but better to have a driver or you won't make it home! You might be able to grow agave in the U.S but legally couldn't produce and call it tequila due to stringent licensing. Liquor stores? Buy a different bottle every week and you wouldn't live long enough to be able to try them all. Never mind your liver!!!

Looks like the drawing is still on Ebay...Adam has said when giving some autographs that he would hate to see them being sold on Ebay.. Fans are very savvy.. this selling of Adam's drawing just didn't look kosher.. Just throwing my own two cents in..... In the video of the interview at 5:49... ...the "interviewer" says ..."could you please do yourself in a minute and show us the result"...Adam says "Draw...draw myself????--Okay." She says..."and can I keep it?" Adam says...."Yah of course" and laughs. Is she with a radio station or who is she affiliated with? How did she get the interview? If with a radio station then it might appear that no one got the correct protocol or asked for protocol for doing such a drawing. (not the station, the reporter or Adam.) Ie...Adam never asked if it was for a charity. The banana picture he knew was for charity. I can see her thinking ...oh we are starting our question and game segment, and the drawing is part of the game....and she outright asked if she could keep it, and Adam said yes.
Lesson learned?? What lesson!! ..kosher not kosher???? Not sure I really know...even though Shoshanna is saying it is NOT hers. I do think it is odd that she says to Shoshanna, the station did not need it anymore. That is where she comes across as not so "honest" or is something lost in translation with language??? It would have been better to say ...oh Adam told me I could keep it... then ask Shoshanna...who has the rights to it me or the radio station? The kicker may have been that 1% to a non approved Adam charity...but if it belongs to her...can she not choose a charity of her choice?
