RANT ALERT
I should get on Twitter and have a rant to those there who are saying to Adam to keep his opinions to himself... I mean have they not been paying attention! Step outside the vanilla scripted thoughts and prayers and people get all kinds of uncomfortable. Good. They should be. They need to get so uncomfortable they examine their own inaction. A quick story from Amanada Palmer's wonderful book "The art of asking" told to her by a friend
While visiting a friend he heard a dog howling in the back yard. "what up with your dog?" he asked. "Oh he's sitting on a nail" the friend replied. "why doesn't he get off it?" "The friend replied again "doesn't hurt enough yet"...
So with each escalation of deaths in these incidents in schools, movie theatres and now a nightclub the question seems to be what will make it hurt enough for people to stop howling in the back yard and get up off the fucking nail - because it can be dressed up as all kinds of complexity and cloaked in the second amendment but at the heart of this is this truth - while people do kill people. People armed with assault rifles and other weapons meant for war kill more.

www.billboard.com/articles/news/7401401/queen-adam-lambert-tribute-orlando-shooting-victimsBillboard linked to GlamBecks video of WWTLF "This song is dedicated to those who lost their lives last night in Orlando, Florida, and anyone who has been a victim of senseless violence or hatred," Lambert says on Isle of Wight stage. Queen and Adam Lambert honored the memory of the victims of the mass shooting at Pulse nightclub in Orlando at the U.K.'s Isle of Wight Festival on Sunday, closing their headlining set with a moving and emotional performance of the 1986 song "Who Wants to Live Forever." Standing alone at a microphone on a darkened stage surrounded by dramatic blue and purple laser lights, Lambert was somber as he spoke of the fallen. "This song is dedicated to those who lost their lives last night in Orlando, Florida, and anyone who has been a victim of senseless violence or hatred," he said. Adele Dedicates Concert to Orlando Victims: 'The LGBTQA Community, They're Like My Soulmates' On Monday (June 13), Lambert took to Twitter to denounce the act, calling the murder of 50 people and wounding of 53 a hate crime. The American Idol season 8 runner-up is also urging his followers to donate to a GoFundMe page set up to assist the victims and their families. “The horrible tragedy in Orlando is BOTH a terrorism AND gun control issue. It is also a horrendous hate crime. It sickens me to see commentary in my own feed of people over how to classify or politicize it,” Lambert wrote. “This is not a Democratic or Republican issue. This is not just an LGBTQ issue. This is a HUMAN issue. 50 lives were lost. Let’s make sure we pay our proper respects first and foremost. Please do what you can to help the families of the victims. We need to mourn and to process.”

Hypocrites. It really does not matter that some on twitter are trying to tell Adam to do. Adam will not be silenced, he will speak his truths, and he will be heard. And people will gain strength and be united in a determination to get the guns out of murders hands and stop the killing.
