Nile is playing here with Duran Duran this Tuesday. They did a full page article on him in the local newspaper with an amazingly huge flattering picture. No mention of Adam ..but many big hitters were plus Alex Newel. Lucky guy.
Nile was asked in the interview if he has lost track of all his songs that have straight to the top. Nile laughingly said just that morning he was told Alex's Kill the Lights went to the top of the dance charts. I absolutely love Lay Me Down. To me it was a killer song. It sure is a crap shoot as to songs that make it or not. Nile mentioned that some of his top hit songs he had to fight the record company to put out. He goes on to say "the only reason they do happen is because of convergence, because all of these things I have no control over, somehow come together and I land at the right spot at the right time." My wish...and crossing my fingers for Adam, that he will continue to not only have these waves of success and highlights in his career to sustain him, but somehow make the leap to tier one...hit that goes for weeks and weeks. Well I can keep dreamin'! Longevity with style...

My wish...and crossing my fingers for Adam, that he will continue to not only have these waves of success and highlights in his career to sustain him, but somehow make the leap to tier one...hit that goes for weeks and weeks. Well I can keep dreamin'! Longevity with style... Adam has been lucky to work with top writers and producers since Idol. And Nile Rodgers seems to love working with Adam. Adam is definitely moving into the "meat" of his career. The flash of first fame has turned into a new career routine. "WRITE, RECORD, PROMOTE, SELL, PERFORM, TOUR, REST. REPEAT." The music industry is full of singers who have gone through that cycle a number of times, some only managing a few cycles. The trick is to maintain the momentum to keep up that cycle year after year, album after album. Maybe augment it all by branching out into acting, etc. so you don't have to rely solely on music sales. (JHud, for ex.) Adam has a lot to offer beyond recording albums. Hope he can crack that shell and be a versatile presence in show business. Longevity can be achieved in a lot of ways.

Thinking this is the baby of a long time good friend of Adam's. He was in the bridal party at her wedding. Grey suit. ...Johanna and Ray....

I think the baby belongs to The couple that got married out in the woods a couple of years ago.
