Nile is playing here with Duran Duran this Tuesday. They did a full page article on him in the local newspaper with an amazingly huge flattering picture. No mention of Adam ..but many big hitters were plus Alex Newel. Lucky guy.
Nile was asked in the interview if he has lost track of all his songs that have straight to the top. Nile laughingly said just that morning he was told Alex's Kill the Lights went to the top of the dance charts. I absolutely love Lay Me Down. To me it was a killer song. It sure is a crap shoot as to songs that make it or not. Nile mentioned that some of his top hit songs he had to fight the record company to put out. He goes on to say "the only reason they do happen is because of convergence, because all of these things I have no control over, somehow come together and I land at the right spot at the right time." My wish...and crossing my fingers for Adam, that he will continue to not only have these waves of success and highlights in his career to sustain him, but somehow make the leap to tier one...hit that goes for weeks and weeks. Well I can keep dreamin'! Longevity with style... Adam has been lucky to work with top writers and producers since Idol. And Nile Rodgers seems to love working with Adam. Adam is definitely moving into the "meat" of his career. The flash of first fame has turned into a new career routine. "WRITE, RECORD, PROMOTE, SELL, PERFORM, TOUR, REST. REPEAT." The music industry is full of singers who have gone through that cycle a number of times, some only managing a few cycles. The trick is to maintain the momentum to keep up that cycle year after year, album after album. Maybe augment it all by branching out into acting, etc. so you don't have to rely solely on music sales. (JHud, for ex.) Adam has a lot to offer beyond recording albums. Hope he can crack that shell and be a versatile presence in show business. Longevity can be achieved in a lot of ways. Totally agree! Would really love to see him in all facets of the entertainment industry. And I really think things will happen for him in regards to acting/tv/movie/"judge"(haha). In regards to my comment about a music hit...well even though he has had success in many countries...it is so rare for me to ever hear him on the radio in my city, Calgary, Canada. Good news is, he is on the radio in many other countries. It just made me a bit jealous ... Silly me... to hear of Alex Newell's song at the top of the dance chart...thinking Nile was so right...there are the intangibles that cannot be predicted. ??? I still just hope for that one song --- leading to more songs --- so that our city of over a million people can appreciate what I appreciate in Adam as a singer. That could lead to to my country being considered for for concerts--performances . Like I said...I will keep dreaming.

. From that wedding Only because it is a slow night... I was reviewing the pictures from the wedding and I forgot that Adam did Johanna's make-up. I was sure there was a video clip of the guys singing too...but bed time now so not going to look any further. Funny enough as I am typing this I see the camera in the picture above taking a picture or video. Maybe there is really one! lilybop2012.blogspot.ca/2012/10/adam-attends-wedding.htmla trip down memory lane. 6 degrees of separation. Fairly recently Adam liked an Instagram picture of a gal on an outside rustic staircase great legs and swirling skirt (jcarmenriaz). She is a common friend of Adam's and Johanna and Ray. They all had a fun gathering one night May 11, 2015 as per Adam's Instagram post. Nice to see he keeps in touch with many more friends that we rarely "see" but who are in his life.

This missed flight is why Adam ended up on MY flight!! You lucky, lucky lady... As it's a very slow day for Adam news, I have really enjoyed catching up on these old videos previously unseen by me, but for those of you who have been here from the beginning, remember these? www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbCUMvhwwus#t=69.921ht tps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D30Ast8eDB8#t=206.821 How can I forget that interview with Jim C? It was held before "the best Adam performance EVER" - the GLORIOUS 30 mins of the Rock My Town! Right at the time we were freezing to death lining up on that super -super cold day! I honestly have never experienced anything like the HIGH of that show either before or after THAT SHOW! Great memories! And he looks so cute in them...

Thanks for posting those interviews...I actually hadn't seen those, and I've been following him from the beginning. But there are times he's so busy that I just can't keep up, dang RL, and they get lost in the shuffle. So I really appreciate the reminders. And did he look smokin' in that AZ interview? Lordy, that man is fine As far as downtime, he works his scrawny little non-existent butt off so I'm all for him getting a little time off...lest he burn himself out and we lose our cupcake to early retirement. Plus I want him to have time to work on that next album...I'm ready for new music !!!!!!! You're welcome...

I was so proud of him. Can you imagine Adam talking about traveling around the world while "fresh from the AI oven"? LOL. In front of that winner "fresh from the AI oven" Love it! Their relationship was very cute, wasn't it? But here I am hogging the end of the thread again, just like old times..

Lots on YouTube - I just pick odd ones at random. imagine Nica will have firm favourites. Very well worth diving into, not forgetting the finale with Kris and Allison.
