I wrote a brilliant commentary twice only to have it disappear when trying to post. Reader's Digest version.
Rolling Stone said Adam was "strangely cast" and put him in the category of the actors that didn't get it. WHAT??? Audience 1.7 5 million people, few converts from THURS nite football. Unfair comparison to Grease (fox in Jan) because what makes a cult movie is the same people seeing it multiple times, not a mainstream audience, Cult watchers were put off by the jarring sanitizing. Boxers on Rocky vs. speedo? I'm surprised we didn't get" darn it, Janet"
Adam did great and while I think it was a wise career move to be Eddie, I think Adam as Frank would have been a rollicking good time, risky but rollicking.

This was prior to the showing last night. I wonder if someone else reviewed it after? I saw tweets of this nature: Aleks 🎭 @aleks_kv 2h2 hours ago Rolling Stone was the only one which had a really unfavourable review of Adam 0 replies 0 retweets 0 likes How the hell could anybody give Adam a bad review for his Eddie? RS must be crazy. Can't imagine what they criticized.

Adam definitely "gets it." He nailed the part. RS obviously didn't like the whole thing. Sure, it was different from the original, and I agree that it was a more sanitized, slicker version. But Adam stole the show. He was THE standout. Hope it leads to more roles for him.

Haha! These are hilarious. Adam sure knows how to use that pretty face. He can mug it up with the best of them.

"Bafflingly miscast"......"Out of place, especially when being out sung and out danced at every turn" His opinion, but absolute crap and laughable.
