It's been bugging me who Amilia reminded of when she sang. I think this is it vimeo.com/24082268LOL! It did not bug me at all, the moment she started singing I thought of that (in a very good way, that is). The DIVA from another planet!

Haha! I bet Adam is the only XF judge ever to do his own contestant's makeup! He's a pro at it, for sure. Remember right after Idol when he was doing tons of interviews and radio stops, etc., and so many DJs, etc. wanted him to do a makeup session? He did quite a few. He was such a good sport about it and it was fun. People were so fascinated by him and his openness about wearing make-up, etc. Kinda fun to see him with the smoky eyes again. Adam has been doing make-up for others since high school. I think it was his dad who said that a bunch of girls came to the house before prom night to have Adam do their make-up. I read that Adam also sold makeup and did makeovers,as a kid at Macys.. I believe that I read that the store Offered him $50,000 a year to be in charge of cosmetics...nothing new for guys on Broadway to do their own hair and makeup...all part of show biz I would bet he learned how in his acting groups when very young..

Good question. They didn't look like they were really playing...... 😋 Did you see the bass player, so gobsmacked by Adam, he forgot to even pretend he was playing?! That's really funny, haha!!! Thanks for mentioning it, pattihum, I hadn't noticed it before! (As always my eyes were only focused on Adam, lol! )

Hi Cassie, since you notice his breathing, I thought that I heard him taking a breath where he usually doesn't in "Don't Stop Me Now"....I can't remember which show...it was "call me/ Mr. Fahrenheit"...I noticed it immediately since he usually sings it in one breath. To make sure I wasn't imagining things, I played other recordings and I definitely don't hear the the pause. Just wondering if you or anyone else had noticed it also during this last tour. Now that you mention it, I think I do remember that. I have been watching KQ and STL from the Bangkok concert, and he also does some different phrasing at the beginning of KQ. She keeps Moet et Chandon / In her pretty cabinet / 'Let them eat cake' / she says / Just like Marie Antoinette A built-in remedy/ For Kruschev and Kennedy At anytime an invitation You can't /decline I think the breaths were all intentional, particularly before "she says". The brief pause there clarifies that he is quoting Ms. Queen, rather like the comma you would see in print. But then he connects the last three lines in one breath..... not sure why, as breathing after "kennedy" would make sense lyrically and musically. He almost makes it to the end of the last line, only to have to sneak a breath before the last word. A wonky phrasing that caught my ear. Don't know why it stuck out to me, but, I am sure it tells you a lot about how closely I listen to everything he sings, and how familiar I am with every nuance. This segment was so much fun in Bangkok. Worth another viewing! www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0NFHGJHSPcThanks, Cassie. Always love hearing your analyses of Adam's voice, including his breathing.

Not in one go though: www.imdb.com/title/tt0119116/trivia"When composer Eric Serra showed soprano Inva Mula (who dubs the voice of the Diva) the sheet music for the Diva Dance, she reportedly smiled and relayed to him that some of the notes written were not humanly possible to achieve because the human voice cannot change notes that fast. Hence, she performed the notes in isolation - one by one, as opposed to consecutively singing them all together and they digitized the notes to fit the music. There are a few moments when you can hear the differences in the vocal tones of The Diva's voice."

Except, of course, when it is for effect, like one song I can't remember right now. He draws his breath in sharply and slowly through his teeth. Very hot. Are you thinking of the beginning of Better Than I Know Myself? I always thought that was a clever effect because the next line is "cold as ice'" and, of course, entering a cold space makes you draw a sharp breath. I've wondered who came up with that idea when recording the song.

Not to sound horny but I gotta agree with Mel B. I totally would too^^ He's just simply hot af and sexy as hell!!! #thereIsaidit ...also I LOVE hats on guys and it is NOT helping, that Adam likes wearing them too^^ As much as I'd love for Adam to be mentor because I think he's incredibly smart, his musicality, his instinct is just CRAZY!!! I think I'd be too distracted by him. *lol* I'd hang on to his every word if I got the chance to work with him. I'm late in reading this but I totally agree with you regarding everything you wrote above. And I never thought about it -- but you're right about being a contestant. Although if I were one, I'd be so distracted by him that I wouldn't hear a thing that he said. My heart would be beating too loud. Wait, that's not it. I wouldn't hear what he said because I would have fainted onto the floor!
