On returning to The X Factor in 2017: “Sign me up for next season; I’m good to go. Let’s do it!"
'I hated it!' Guy Sebastian doesn't hold back after 14-year-old Amalia Foy is forced to sing an ABBA song on X Factor Australia... but Mel B claims he's got his 'grumpy pants on'
By Candice Jackson For Daily Mail Australia
Published: 06:58 EST, 6 November 2016 | Updated: 08:27 EST, 6 November 2016
The X Factor Australia judges usually turn on each other, but during Sunday night's episode they turned their frustration to viewers.
Australian fans were given the chance to vote for which song each of the finalists would perform this week, and with a double elimination set for Monday, tensions were running high.
While the panel didn't always like the song voted for by the public, it was Amalia Foy's performance in particularly that divided the judges leading to an argument between Guy Sebastian and Mel B.
'I hated it!' Judge Guy Sebastian didn't hide his disgust after Australia chose an ABBA song for 14-year-old Amalia Foy to perform on Sunday night's X Factor Australia episode, saying it was too cheesy and weird for the 'cool' teen
After the 14-year-old had to perform an ABBA song, as voted by fans, Guy Sebastian didn't mince his words, saying he 'hated' her performance because it 'exposed this cheesy, weird side that I wish I never saw of you because it has all been really cool so far'.
He cast doubt on voters, saying: 'I think there's something in the Australian waterways... Why did they pick THAT over Florence and the Machine?'
The mentor for Over 22s category, was quick to clarify it was less about the talented young singer and more about the arrangement.
Judge Mel B, who often doesn't see eye-to-eye with Guy, fired back that it was fine and the mentor just had his 'grumpy pants' on.
While Iggy Azalea said although she enjoyed it she 'wished Australia had picked the other song.'

Confused: Guy said he wished viewers had chose the alternate track by Florence and the Machine but Mel B (far right) said the Over 22s mentor just had his 'grumpy pants on'
'Killed it!' While Guy wasn't a fan, former young X Factor contestant Jai Wakefield, who gave Amalia some words of advice during the week, tweeted to say she 'killed it' on the stage
Amalia's mentor, Adam Lambert, remained encouraging and said the twist of style for the teenager showed a fun side to her.
As a series of former X Factor contestants came into the show during rehearsals to impart some wise words, Amalia fan-girled over Jai Wakefield when he paid her a visit, giving advice about being one of the youngest contenders to grace the competition.
Jai later tweeted that the teen had 'killed it' on stage.
Amalia wasn't the only one of Adam's Under 22s that he was forced to defend on the night.
Introduced Isaiah singing Pharrell Williams's hit tune Happy had the audience clapping and dancing along, but not the panel.
Not so Happy: Instead of talking about his take on the Pharrell Williams song, the judges turned their critique to Isaiah's styling, saying it 'was a mess' and made him appear like 'a children's act'
The judges comments quickly turned away from Australian's song choice and instead, focused on his unique miss-matched attire, which distracted them through his performance.
Guy pointed out that they weren't running a karaoke show and felt he was 'dressed like a children's act.'
While Mel said the styling was a mess and he had 'much more swag and style' than what he was wearing.
Adam stood up for his act, and threw shade back at Mel for her bizarre outfit choice.

Davey, who is more comfortable singing his own songs, had to prepare two covers ahead of Sunday night's challenge, prepping both Jimmy Barnes and Pearl Jam for the live show.
Australia chose Working Class Man by Jimmy Barnes, and while some of the judges were initially hesitant anyone could live up to Jimmy's rendition, Davey was able to change their minds.
Dami Im dropped in to give the larrakin a few last-minute pieces of advice, but he admitted he didn't let her get a word in about the competition.
The judges all praised his rockstar performance, with Iggy identifying a 'radiance of happiness' on stage as Davey pointed to his wife as credit for his demeanor.
Big claims! The judges applauded Davey's take on Jimmy Barnes, saying Australia's got a new icon
Guy was immensely proud of his act, claiming: 'Australia, we've got a new icon!'
The first act to take the stage was Chynna, who begged Australia for Mercy as she performed the hit Duffy song and admitted she was relieved Australia chose that song for her.
The singer donned a white tailored suit and added her own flare to the noughties pop song.
Mel praised the rising star with exaggerate hand movements and said: 'I'm beginning to see your X Factor. It's written all over you!'

Brother and sister duo Brentwood were visited by 2015 X Factor finalists, Jess and Matt, who joked their partnership involved kissing but there's shouldn't.
The pairs seem to get along well, with Jess and Matt tweeting they 'totally wanna be friends'... for realsies' and teased at a potential supergroup performance.
Brentwood performed Go Your Own Way by Fleetwood Mac to a mixed response from the judges.

Mel gave her group Beatz tough-love in their rehearsals, telling them it was 'f****** messy', but tried to raise their hopes with a visit from former winner Samantha Jade.
They performed Beyonce's Single Ladies, and while they danced up a storm, the judges didn't think their vocals were on point.
Adam said it was 'just not good enough', while Iggy agreed saying they have the most work to do in the competition.
Mel, however stood up for the group saying they should be proud as it was the best she has heard them sing but admitted there were still some hiccups.

Vlado had some doubts going into the live shows, with trolls online criticizing his song choices in the past.
Mel advised him to avoid reading the comments as they have weighed heavy on her in the past, and invited Taylor Henderson to share a moment with Vlado before his performance.
The crowd booed at Adam and Guy's comments after he sung Thriller by Michael Jackson.
Adam said 'the key was way too high, it was kind of screechy,' and Guy said 'It just felt like nothing was special about it.'
'Nothing was special about it': Three out of four judges agreed the Michael Jackson song was not the right pick for Vlado and his vocals were 'screechy' and not strong enough to win
Iggy agreed, adding the song choice didn't let him shine: 'go back to what you are strong at because what you are good at could win you this competition.'
Voting has now opened for all seven acts, with a double elimination pending for Monday night.
The live decider will also host X Factor superstar Dami Im and a performance by one of the judges.
The X Factor Australia continues Monday November 7, 7.30pm, Seven Network

The X Factor’s Adam Lambert blasts fellow judge Iggy Azalea
November 7, 201610:42am
In case there was doubt left in anyone’s mind: Iggy Azalea certainly isn’t winning a lot of friends during her stint as a judge on The X Factor.
Off the back of Guy Sebastian’s recent revelation that she’s been showing up to work “two to three hours late,” Adam Lambert has further dug the boot in this morning about her “diva” antics.
He told 2DayFM’s Rove McManus and Sam Frost he thinks Azalea’s attitude issues are stemming from the fact she doesn’t know how to sing.
“I’ve found some sort of common ground with Iggy, we get along, but I’ve watched her and observed her with other people and she’s tricky — she’s a complicated girl,” he revealed to the breakfast hosts.
“Maybe she’s threatened. She doesn’t really know anything about singing.”
The 34-year-old Ghost Town singer went on to explain it leaves Azalea, 26, in a vulnerable position.
“I mean let’s face it, no one’s rapping on the show at this point, so it’s like ‘uhhhh what is she going to say?’” Lambert said.
“I think she’s embarrassed that she doesn’t know anything about singing — so maybe she’s just defensive ... and Guy [Sebastian] and I are giving all this technical talk, so maybe she just feels threatened.”
It was the same theme over at Nova FM, where he was chatting with hosts Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald and Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli.
“I see some of the shenanigans she pulls with other people and I’m like ‘Girl, pull it together!’ She’s such a diva,” he ranted.
The singer was particularly critical of Azalea’s behaviour toward her contestants on the show.
“I’m like, ‘maybe the people you’re mentoring might be kind of important, just a thought ... isn’t that why you’re here?’” he quipped sarcastically to the hosts.
He explained that off-air, members of her group had even asked him for help with their song choices.
“I don’t know if I should talk about it — but they came into my dressing room and were like ‘what should we do?’ so I just tried to help, off the record. Which I’m probably not supposed to do.”
Lambert’s comments certainly set the scene for an awkward work environment throughout the rest of the season — but he didn’t seem to mind.
“She’s [Iggy’s] a loose cannon, it’s hard to predict what she’s going to say, if she’s going to show up, if she’s going to listen.”
It comes just a few weeks after fellow X Factor judge, Guy Sebastian, also dissed Azalea publicly.
“I don’t hate Iggy ... we clash. I don’t know what she’s thinking a lot of the time,” Sebastian told Sunrise on October 19.
Sebastian appeared on Kyle and Jackie O the same morning and said Azalea had been rocking up to set two or three hours late.
“She’s just down the road in a nice hotel we’ve put her up in, just chilling and watching movies,” he said.
The X Factor continues Monday November 7, 7.30pm, on Channel Seven.

Not seeing eye-to-eye! X Factor Australia judge Mel B dons cleavage-baring design worn by Kylie Jenner and The Veronicas... as Adam Lambert throws shade at eccentric ensemble
By Candice Jackson For Daily Mail Australia

Once better known as Scary Spice, Mel B does not shy from eccentric outfits and accessories.
And the X Factor Australia judge wasn't shying away from another eye-popping display during Sunday night's live show, wearing a unique sequin-covered dress.
The 41-year-old singer's frock had eyes designed over the bralet, which drew attention to her ample assets as she sat behind the judge's panel.

Eye-popping style statement! X Factor Australia judge Mel B donned an eccentric cleavage-baring Discount Universe ensemble on Sunday night's live shows
The intricate 'evil eye' garment from Discount Universe is currently not in stock, but their similar bralet pencil dresses retail for $295 or more.
While it was hard to avoid eye contact with the bizarre look, nothing was said about the quirky ensemble until Mel pointed out styling flaws in one of Adam Lambert's acts.
Isaiah, 16, had his unique miss-matched leopard and zebra print attire critiqued at the end of his performance of Happy by Pharrell Williams, with Mel B saying: 'The styling, it is a mess. It is like somebody threw up all over you, literally.
Not seeing eye-to-eye with his co-star, Adam chose to hit back by throwing shade on her outfit choice.
Standing up for her out-there style, Mel claimed: 'But I'm a spice girl, and that's what Spice Girls do'.

Not seeing eye-to-eye! After Mel critiqued Adam Lambert's 16-year-old contestant's outfit, things got heated with the former Queen lead singer throwing shade on the Spice Girl's outfit
‘I'm a spice girl, and that's what Spice Girls do': The singer, once best known as Scary Spice, defended her ensemble
While Iggy Azalea agreed with Adam, Guy appeared to side with Mel, describing the teenager's look like 'a children's act'.
However, Guy didn't weigh in on Mel's outfit, possibly on a more personal note - with his wife Jules Sebastian hired as the Brit's stylist.
However, it's not only the Spice Girl who has worn the 'evil eye' before.
The eyes have it! Similar to Mel's stylish ensemble, Kylie Jenner was seen wearing the bikini version of the design at Coachella earlier this year, Instagraming a series of snaps in the outfit
Kylie Jenner made sure everyone's eyes were on her as she posed in the eye-catching bikini design at Coachella this year.
She Instagrammed a series of snaps of herself sporting the high-waist Discount Universe bikini which featured the evil eye design, a talisman worn to protect against ill will.
In October, Lisa Origliasso from the Veronicas also sported the sequined bralet for their On Your Side single artwork, teaming it with a pair of sleek black trousers, while a bold jacket was slung over her arms.

Mel showed off a full-length view of the figure-hugging dress in an Instagram post showing the starlet snap a selfie with her Underdog Team contestants.
Many fans heaped praise on the unique design, with comments including:'Looking absolutely gorgeous in that. what a queen.'
