Simon is not "Sony" -- his record label, SYCO Entertainment, is a joint venture between Simon and Sony. That is the label he cares about. I don't think there is much closeness between Simon Cowell and Adam unless something changed recently. Right now with X Factor UK rating dropping substantially and it getting crushed by Strictly Come Dancing, I bet Simon only cares about try to do something, anything to shore up the ratings. That said I would not be surprised to see Adam involved with the XF UK Finale this year. I agree, we don't see any closeness between Simon and Adam, but behind the scenes, wouldn't it have been Simon who hired Adam for X Factor Oz? I really have no idea how it all works, just wondering. If he can perform on X Factor UK, I say why not. I would be great. Any TV exposure for him is a good thing. Also more for us to enjoy. I am not an expert on X Factor AU but my understanding is the judges are picked by the series Executive Producer, Jonathon Summerhayes, in conjunction with the network executives. I do not believe Simon Cowell has a role. But, as I said, my very rudimentary understanding of the way judges are selected for the show may be incorrect. Simon Cowell is only credited as creating the show. I would guess, however, that Simon is aware of Adam's run as a judge on the program. *** The "why not" could be that Adam does not seem to have anything to promote right now -- unless he is sandbagging some new music. Which brings it back to maybe a performance on the Finale?

No One in here knows for sure how his convalescing going so far. He popped up on twitter few weeks ago, maybe he will come up to the surface before the NYE maybe not. But I'd say Never say Never.. What anyone here knows about Brian's current health has nothing to do with it. A QAL New Years Eve gig would have to have been planned months ago..... and with no solid timeline for Brian's recovery would IMO not have been undertaken. It isn't possible to just say "Oh, he's on the mend, let's play a NYE gig somewhere" when it's only a month away. Brian cancelled his December concerts disappointing many fans. I doubt he would do that then pop up for NYE. If Adam does anything for NYE, I think it will be as a solo artist. And so far, there is no sign of any Adam NYE event. I am fine with Adam taking a break from performing so he can work on and finish A4.

But good chance to remind U.K. Audience of Adam, before he drops his album next year. He did perform two years ago. So it's possible

I hope he gets to party with his friends this year.

I don't keep up with PMJ but was interested when Haley was first with them (love her). Turned on a television show where they were performing and was disappointed to see no Haley but two women unknown to me. Seems they hire a lot of Idols but ones without major labels. Is it possible that it would not be beneficial to a major label artist or their label to sing with them? For those who follow them, do major label artists perform with them?

No New Years show that year. Just lots of publicity and angst; that's my memory. I thought every performance, and every year of Adam's growth, was like a steel trap in me. Egads - rust is setting in.

Is it possible that it would not be beneficial to a major label artist or their label to sing with them? For those who follow them, do major label artists perform with them? I went to one PMJ concert this year, and Haley was part of the crew for all concerts that month or even longer. My understanding is, they have a rotating group of artists, of which at any given time only a certain amount will join, i.e. for a specific leg of a tour. Haley was celebrated as the star by the audience, but there were about 4 or 5 participants who stood out from the rest and received most of the applause. They know who their stars are, and who brings a strong following from either a reality show, TV show or otherwise and they make sure to travel with a few of them in tow. As far as overall impression, I loved my concert, but I do agree that the show as a whole is not quite able to keep up the momentum that one or two close-up videos on your computer screen might promise. But I still was very much entertained, and saw a few of my favorites close-up (incl. Haley). The cheesy announcements and audience interaction do come across as tired and that pulls the show down, and that includes Haley's act. She also sounds infantile or cheesy. Not her thing. But I go to such a show to hear her sing, and hear the band interpret the song with some old-fashioned, flashback arrangement, not to listen to dialogue. Of course, by design, this show will come across as old fashioned. It is meant to be that, but I do agree that the overall impression was a tad more forced entertainment than I thought it would be. I am glad I went, but am not hunting for tickets to become a regular. I think, it is worth-while to check online before booking tickets, to ensure that some of the people performing on that leg, are the ones you want to see. Google is your friend. --- And bringing it back to Adam. I am grateful that Adam does not have to rely things like a PMJ tour right now, but has many irons in the fire at all times, even though traveling within a group can be fun at times and less lonely. But there is no comparison to being creatively in the driver seat and with such a show you are not. I am thankful to all who brought those recent Soundcloud recordings and other goodies here, while we are running without news. Dropping as token of appreciation, one of my own favorites. Always love to come back to this one. www.youtube.com/watch?v=z56V2vPo63AHope Adam can enjoy his time off, and is able to personally find where he wants to go from here, should that be an open question for him. Maybe he already knows, in that case, even better. Bye for now.

I hope that Adam really doesn't have a New Year's Eve show this time around. He has worked so hard and been away from his home for so long. Hopefully he can have a nice party at home with friends and some family. But you never know with him. He might also take off with some friends to a warm location for some fun and sun, as he did when they all went to Mykonos. Since we have know about him, this is how he spent New Years Eve... 2009-2010 Gridlock 2010-2011 Party with friends 2011-2012 With Sauli in LA after that fiasco in Finland. lol 2011-2013 Bali 2013-2014 Thackerville 2014-2015 QAL 2015-2016 Singapore Amazing the stuff my brain remembers.

I thought that there is a contestant named Sara? from Finland that wanted to duet with him, Celine or Gaga. It would be nice if he performed with her. It would be more exposure in UK and to have them know that he is highly regarded by one of the finalists.
