I am so excited for these shows....I am tickled pink, as they say. I am also really happy to be going to see Kinky Boots in a couple of weeks...yeah. A agree with those who are ticked by the nasty snark from that site...ignorance is just never pretty. If they had seen the show and had realistic complaints...specific...I would be fine...but that is just mean spirited for the sake of being mean...shrug.. Now...I have the kind of story we all love to hear: I just returned from cutting the hair of a woman who really is pretty bed ridden with very serious arthritis...she stays pretty upbeat considering the constant pain she is in. Well I was telling her of our trip and she really likes Queen but had no idea they were playing again or of who Adam was...so I just happened to have my iPad, with the 2012 Kiev concert in it so I played her the concert while I cut her hair. Well....we could have a budding Glambert. She could not get over how cute and sexy and talented he was...by the end she was ready to invite him to the boudoir lol. Made the haircut fun....she will be googling him, I am sure. She was pretty jealous of our trip....she has had a really tough few years....from her husband dying with cancer a year or so ago to her dog of 13 years dying 3 weeks ago. Watching Adam in all his glory perked her up quite a bit. Okay, I'm just going to keep it real here. Q3, if you want to delete this because it's not exclusively about Adam, you can. But Adam DOES tie in somewhat. I have a 97 year old "girlfriend" that I take out on Fridays, once, or most times twice in 5 weeks time. She is a hoot. She gets a mani-pedi and sometimes her hair cut and styled. No color. She is a natural silver vixen with thick gorgeous hair. And the kicker is that she loooves Adam. I let her see and listen to all things Adam as she gets her pedicure. She is a very old wise woman who has lived an extraordinary life and then some. It is a privilege to have her in my life. Her husband has also passed 5 years ago from cancer. She accepts it with grace that I have never encountered before. Such a strong fine woman. Lets face it, the world is falling apart. I don't even recognize my own country, America, anymore. Politics suck. People are having real problems with anxiety, the likes I have not seen since 911. Most of the political news today was not to be believed. My "girlfriend" relaxed ME this time. She said that all things DO pass. The bad and the good, and not to worry so much. What a sweetie. She has been there and done that, as they say. Almost 100 years of history are stored in her very sharp neat little brain. So I trust her. So, in short, mszue, I tip my hat to you. You are a sweetheart in my book to visit and cut your poor arthritic lady friends hair. And also let her hear and see Adam. I have such a swelled up and full heart for you. Consider yourself adopted by me. lol Big hug and kiss to you.

My Basenjis used to do this exact same thing -- perch on the top of the sofa. They like high places. I know Pharaoh is only part Basenji, but he has so many Basenji traits. Constantly amazes me. My red heeler (red cattle dog) used to do the same thing...

Oh my goodness....thank you for that...I would love to be adopted but I really did not do anything most here would not do given the chance. Many chances to help people come along at times we just can't respond for various reasons but one of the great things about being in those years between being beset with young family and work needs, and old needy age, comes those years when we can help out in ways that give us back more than we ever give out. In fact, I am paid for the haircut itself ...but the trip and product and odds and sods of little things aren't paid in money but I come away from there feeling really good...that I have fulfilled some sort of need in the world. I have a 96 year old woman I help out and visit in extended care that used to be a client but not since moving there...she is amazing...she also enjoyed the Adam vids I showed her, hahaha... I learned how to put her hearing aids in to listen as she was also too arthritic to hold the aids herself! Poor Adam...appealing to so many elderly women who have reacquainted themselves with the concept of 'sexy' through him...a beautiful gay man. Isn't it funny...

`If I had been a Queen fan back in the day, had moved on after Freddie's death, and heard that Queen was going to tour with a former American Idol contestant, I would be highly skeptical about it. I mean, imagine if Queen decided to partner with the other guy who sang WATC with them on the finale. Or with James Durbin or Lee DeWyze. I would suspect that Roger and Brian had sold out or gone a little soft in the head with age. If the writer or the reader hasn't heard Adam sing, and hasn't seen him front Queen, they would be justified, in a way, to doubt the value and legitimacy of QAL. They might be justified in thinking it would be better to leave the past in the past, go see Queen Extravaganza, or just sit at home and listen to Queen classics. I can't fault them for their snark. Adam is so far above the norm they couldn't predict how wonderful he would be in the role of frontman. BUT WE KNOW THE TRUTH. THE SHOW WILL BE AWESOME! No wonder we want to catch it before it is gone forever. Gosh.. I'm a fan of Queen back in the day and have never moved on after Freddie's death. What I love about Queen members, they're not just great musicians, but they're also IMO smart individuals. So I would think that Brian and Roger have good brain to make really good decisions because they have Queen's HUGE name on stake. They wouldn't just chose any other singers to sing with them in the name of QUEEN. If they want to sell out as the writer you quoted, they would pick just any other singers after Freddie's death to tour again. And we all know that didn't happen. They picked PR who has a household names in rock music. So I assume the writer's not a Queen fan. Yikes.. just thinking about Brian and Roger partnering with NAL or the other two guys above really make me feel nauseating.

There is no thread for the last 4 concerts in the Members Only section, so I'll post here.
I am looking for another female to share a hotel room at:
Nashville, Wednesday night only, I will have car so can stay anywhere between arena and airport.
Phoenix, Thursday & Friday nights, I have room booked already.
Also considering 1 or 2 of the following and would need a roommate:
Omaha Kansas City Cleveland
