I always thought that jews and jewish heritage was not that surrounded by antisemitism as in Europe still. Here in Germany , no person of Jewish belief, would make snarky self ironic jewish comments. The pain of history is still to much for snark to be used in non jewish public. Sadly.... but no not today....about politics..... TODAY is about how funny Adam was, and HOW GORGEOUS He was gorgeous. In the US, Jewish comedy is a very important part of our culture -- very different than in Europe in my experience. And American Jewish comedians have been making fun of their Jewishness since at least the mid-ninetieth century. And some of what has been done here really pushed boundaries. For example, Mel Brooks did the Producers in 1968. It is hard to imagine an America without the Three Stooges, Marx Brothers, John Stewart, Larry David, Carl Reiner, Woody Allen, Mel Brooks, John Rivers, Jerry Lewis, Don Rickles, George Burns, Sid Caesar, Billy Crystal, Adam Sandler, Gene Wilder, Louis Black, Peter Sellers, etc. etc. etc. [I am sure that someone has put together a Wiki of Jewish comedians but that is off the top of my head. Sorry for any misspellings.) We even have a Jewish comic in the US Senate - Al Franken. Oh, and Gilda Radner!! Can't type much with post-op rotator cuff. But want to say that the show was a home run for Adam. Wit, beauty, politics, music, gossip, romance. Wish he could land a great TV show like Crissy did. He'd be so good! Will post more when right arm works again. Left one just doesn't cut it.

Looking at todays pics of Adam and the ones at the Blondes I think I figured out what was different about his face... His upper lip was swollen. Go... Collagen. Also, wrinkle reduction - which he has done regularly. (Botox) And maybe a few other little things. *** I think we pretty much analyzed this yesterday. well perhaps

Missed first half, but watched second half. Man, Chrissy could not get her hands off Adam. I mean Adam looked absolutely stunning, I understand, but boundaries, lady! Anyway, he is ours, so hands-off! Never seen Adam multiple times having to remove someone's hand from his own leg in a public setting like this. You would think that after the first time she would get the message. Yikes. But Adam just did what he had to and otherwise kept his pokerface and a smile about that whole thing. But he was not happy about her doing that, you could tell. Having said that, I wish, Andy would not always squeeze Adam in the corner, sideways. That setup of the show just does not quite work right, or the cameras need to be moved or the bar area made smaller, I dunno. But the way it is, only one person gets the star treatment and the other is the side-kick. Not ideal, 'nobody puts Adam in the corner'... Anyhow, I am waiting for video, so I can watch the whole thing from the start, which should show up any time now. ============ Also, thanks for all the responses to my Nile and Adam question. Such many great answers that I need to digest, especially the Spotify list, and Linda's answer. So, that conversation might continue over here later, but I need to get my ducks in a row first, before I can say anything more meaningful, later in the day, and after some beauty-rest. So have at it meanwhile. ETA: Pieces are rolling in: Here is the first clip, and it links to two others: unfortunately, it does not have the whole thing, but I am sure it will show up eventually: www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqgyMxBJIRIETA2: Haha, this is what you get when you watch a show only from the second half onwards. All the touchy feely stuff is happening there, starting 12:40, more an accidental bump, the first time. But a minute later, she does not want to let go, and then finallly at 18:50, Adam rushes in, the moment that he notices her coming over to him again and puts her hand away. So, I of course assumed that this had been going on the whole time for him to react that strongly. But I guess, most was just bumping into each other in a small space, and Adam not liking to see his space invaded. Have to say, Adam gave some pretty firm and specific answers to a few questions. Wow. And was evasive on others, just wherever he wanted to take it. All good. I am looking forward to A4. There is something new coming, I can sense it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JFE26p5AM0Sorry---did not see this at all. I guess we all have our own perceptions. She was a little nervous, "cute nervous," she was definitely not fawning all over him. She has a boyfriend, I think. Just think it's a little unfair to both to present it this way I finally watched the show on a large TV screen and it was obvious that Adam's legs were in Chrissy's "space" when she accidentally touched his foot with her foot and immediately made an apologetic gesture...it happened at least twice - both times it was "Adam's fault"...lol... (reading what I wrote - omg, it sounds pervy.. .)

Well , when he calls HIMSELF something, that others use as slurs, what should we as fans feel? A couple of years ago, Adam said that using words, others use as evil words, in a nice form of endearment would take the bite out of it. I think he used "faggot" as example. It was the Concert were he showed the black/yellow stripped undies. Is "frugal Jew" still used as a slur word in USA? No, not sure that exact phrase was every a slur in the US, but, the idea of Jews being cheap is used as a slur and is part of a very negative stereotype -- "Shylock"* for example is used as a slur -- and it's embedded in anti-Semantic nonsense which unfortunately is alive and well in the US -- although not widespread like it was in the past and mostly hiding under rocks and online. I think Adam was trying to be funny -- and really was not thinking about it when he said it. Sounded a bit like a "girlfriend" comment. I'm Jewish and I was not offended by it for what that's worth. That said, John Stewart (and other Jewish comedians) has done some very funny bits about being a "cheap Jew" and no one seemed to bothered by it. I think that it fits into the category of things a "group member" can make jokes about but other people should just leave unsaid. Adam is Jewish and he is "sort of" frugal. Thankfully, it has literally been decades since I have been directly confronted by anything truly hateful. But.... 11.17.16 During this past year, anti-Semitic imagery proliferated on social media, Jewish journalists were targeted and longstanding anti-Jewish conspiracy theories got a fresh airing. Much of the bias originated with the alt-right, or alternative right, a loose group espousing a provocative and reactionary strain of conservatism. It's often associated with far right efforts to preserve "white identity," oppose multiculturalism and defend "Western values."
In addition to the online intimidation, reports of anti-Semitic vandalism and other attacks have risen.
Link: fortune.com/2016/11/17/anti-semitism-donald-HeWhoCannot amed-jews/ * Scholars still debate the meaning and origin of this hateful character in The Merchant of Venice. But no one debates that it is a term that is highly offensive. It is so damn horrible and sad to read that. One of the younger doctors at my workplace was jewish, she was here working for 5 years, till she got a good offer for a better position last year. She once had night shift with me, it was a night without much trouble and we talked a little bit about life for the jewish communities in Germany today. Here it is not only the extreme rights that are making the slurs and behaving hateful to the extreme, but also the extreme left that are behaving the exact same way. The rights are saying there was no Holocaust, the left are saying what is happening in Israel with palestine is worse than the Holocaust. She told me she was once coming out of the Synagoge with the rest of her community under Police protection and from one end of the street the rights were shouting " Jews should disapear and Jews into gas" and one week later there was a huge demonstration in front of the Synagoge when the lefts and exil palestinians and others were shouting "Child killer Israel and Jews into Gas" She said that in these Situations , Jewish People just can not win. Friends off her had nearly the same Situations happen in some Universities in UK and France. I find it absolutely horrific that Jewish people have so many ignorant People against them, Lefts and Rights, Christians and Muslims. I fear for the coming times for our sisters and brothers of jewish believe. I am so sorry that i drag down this fun filled day, maybe my mind is in overreaction. I had a couple hard days at work, sorry guys. I normaly want to come here and be positive and not drag anything down. Sorry
