I don't want to change one hair on Adam's head. He is my secret love and always will be. I love the way he looks, I love the way he walks, I love the way he dances, I love the way he dresses, I love the way he laughs, I love the way he loves his friends and his dog, I love his face, and I love his clothes and shoes. Most of all I love that magic voice. I still get goosebumps running up and down my arms when he sings. I still swoon like a little high school girl when he is on stage. I really am quite embarrassing at his concerts. I am much too old to have these feelings but I love my life since he has been in it. I can't wait for Houston. </img>

I agree with everything you said but I will add I love risky, over the top, makeup wearing Adam! That's what I fell in love with. To me the GNT was everything!

I think we all love Adam and we all know his sexuality and would not want to change him. But speaking for myself, the camp is my least favorite (don't hate it) of his performance styles. But I also love dramas and rarely watch comedies. Not sure why having a preference means you don't love or understand who Adam is. He does camp and he does serious performances where that voice and style just slays or he rocks the house. They are all him. People will have their likes and everyone can decide for themselves what they love the most about his performances.

1jun14 , I am not feeling attacked at all, and I do realize that my perception differs from others'. All good. I think I wasn't clear with my wording in the precious comment about GNT. I meant that very likely not ALL concert goers were into the stage antics, even though a good number of them were. In terms of how Adam presents himself on and off the stage, we may all have our preferences and opinions/non-opinions. But I think we can all agree that Adam is one of the few or THE artist out there who can captivate an audience with his pure vocals alone. Add his ability to "perform" and he can set the stage on fire. I personally have my preferences though. I'm happy we are all good. The world is ugly enough right now. typo...I meant "previous comment" (haha)

While we are on the topic of supporting gay artists, if you have .99 to spare, here would be a really good way to support one brave mother f*er out there. I don't even know how Todrick Hall does it all. He just got off a stint of doing 8 shows per week on Broadway, and he is turning around and going back out on tour with his own musical called 'Straight Outta Oz", and he finds time to change and adapt the songs and bring out a new version. This is his latest message: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fo1ACCatHBwAnd that is the other video mentioned: www.youtube.com/watch?v=XtzF0b7gjZQHe deserves support, and success too. His visual creativity in his videos in Straight Outta Oz is off the charts. Perfectly edited, colorful, creative, with message, and on point. And a delight to watch too. If you have not watched his whole Straight Outta Oz musical on youtube, you certainly should. ================ Anyhow, I totally agree that Adam made choices in GN and also AMA. Other people make choices too, and 5 minutes later they are back on top. These are the differences. And differences can add up, add up in such a way, that as Sam Sparro points out, gay men seem strangely excluded at times. He was talking about GM event. As much as this can be frustrating, there also is artistic space to expand, a space that Freddie for example did not have in his day. it does not go as fast as we would hope, and there is a price, but it allows an artist to live with a freedom that previous generations have not had. And Adam is working this space, he has been growing it since 2009, and so have a few others around him. Those that choose not to help, may have more commercial success, because the market values discreet silence. But they are not changing anything, they are just milking what is commercially available. Yes, it is a choice, and I am grateful for the many that stand with an artist like Adam, because they help him be who he wants to be, disco, dubstep, rock, or polka, for all I care. ETA: Oh jeez, I hope Adam does not get any ideas here....lol

My long Adam story for the day. Previously, I found out my dentist was a Queen fan because during small talk I had said that I was going to several concerts of my favorite singer. We chit-chat about it often and he had said that all the Queen fans he knows thinks it's a great thing, the expected, "He's no Freddie" but he said they said if anyone were to take his place, Adam is the only one who could do it. My dentist himself thought Adam had a great voice. I went in for a cleaning this morning and assumed he heard they were coming to town. I asked, are you going to the Queen concert? He got really excited and said, "Are they coming here?" and I said yes. He asked when so he could go try to get tickets immediately. He mentioned to the dental hygienist that I was a big Queen fan (I corrected him and said "of the lead singer") and she said, oh he is really good. He can hit the high notes. She was a Queen fan also and I told her she should go to the concert. When I tried to make the next dental appointment, the receptionist said "June 29th, a Thursday" and I said "Oops, I told the dentist about a concert being on the 27th, but I know it's Thursday" so I told her I told him the wrong date. She wrote down the correct date to tell him. She asked who it was and I said "Queen". She said "Adam Lambert? I am a huge fan!!!" She got really excited. She checked her calendar unfortunately she will be out of town but I told her to check out shows in LA or LV. She said excitedly that she is going to research it now. I asked her if she saw him live, she said no but she watches him every time he's on TV. She said he really draws you in. We were both flailing about him for several minutes, including his looks (my usual, I think he's the most beautiful man I've ever seen and she agreed), etc. and I told her to email me if she had any questions about the concerts. It did make me realize, is this tour not well advertised? Here's potentially 2 or more people who would want to go see them in a flash but had no idea they were going to be playing locally. I did have one other local friend who is a non-fan mention "Oh that Queen show being advertised everywhere"...Other than him, no one else I know locally had mentioned it. On another note, I mentioned I was going to see Queen to a niece of mine who used to like him on Idol but lost interest from his first album and she said "I've always wanted to see him with Queen". I had another pair of tickets that I bought that were not as good as mine right in front of the neck of the guitar and I offered those spare tickets to her. She could not get anyone to come with her for about a month and she said to just give the tickets to someone else and I said "No, I want you to go because you are the ONLY family member besides my sister who actually said they wanted to see Adam. I will wait for you to find someone to go with". A couple days ago I got mail saying her boyfriend has committed to going with her (not sure he is a fan). Anyway, hope to convert them both to Glamberts.

That is a mighty chunky baby for a newborn. Lots of hair! Noa, by spelling seems more like a girls name, wonder if this is someone else's baby?

Anyway, hope to convert them both to Glamberts. I love your story! Imagine a visit to the dentist turning into a "Lambert event." I wish I had chance meetings like that that turned into chats about Adam. And I hope your niece and her boyfriend enjoy the QAL show. I hope they're impressed with the whole show, but especially with Adam. I hope they see him with new eyes and are willing to give him a second chance. He is so worth it. Sometimes I think about the fans who were all on board during and shortly after Idol but then fell away. Good think so many of us DIDN'T leave the fandom but stuck around to witness Adam's amazing career grow and flourish. I always say that I hope he can diversify his career, moving to acting, etc. I pray that he gets that chance.
