Personally I agree that it is all about perspective. Their are alot of struggling artists in LA, or anywhere really who would kill for Adams level of success. Just because he is not some kinda chart monster. Who has a billion views on his MV's. Or Top ten BB hits. Those are very rare anyway. Adam has always felt like a multi platnum, selling arena artist. And Queen is giving him the chance to fulful that potential. Adams age is prob not the problem in the past. To me it is the music. He has always bar Ghost Town and WWFM. Choose the wrong songs. But well see what A4 Brings.

ET just showed Adam, along with Kelly Clarkson, as former contestants that would be good judges if American Idol returns.

I love the image of different perspectives on how to view the glasses in terms of Adam's career followed by the glass overflowing. Also, IMHO, as a new-ish member, I have observed an almost cyclical approach regarding Adam's career whereas someone or some people will, usually and seemingly prompted by something in the media, begin to express that Adam is not successful enough and to look at various reasons why this higher level of success has eluded him. I am not in any way meaning to criticize or single out any one person. Of course, everyone has a right to his/her opinions, and this post is not meant to disregard that fact. As I stated, this is merely an observation of a new-ish and mostly silent member. At any rate, a number of posts will rise up expressing an agreement to the idea about Adam not being successful enough and their reasons for this idea. Some people will then join the discussion and express the idea that, to the contrary, Adam is indeed successful, seemingly happy with where he is, and quite competent in managing his own affairs, along with his business associates. Things will usually settle down for a while, until something sets off the idea that he is not successful enough, and etc.... IMO: Queen will never be an impediment to his success; they and Adam have a symbiotic relationship which seems almost magical and profitable for all on many levels. As I said, exchanges of ideas are, of course, a right belonging to all here: I am just glad that either Adam doesn't get on here much and/or has a thick skin. Can you imagine if he didn't and got on here frequently only to read repeated comments about how he is not successful enough when he had been quite content in believing that his hard work and innate talent were indeed enough to make him happy? The repetition of phrases that, no matter how well meant, use the word "not" this or that in context of what he is building might be hurtful at least. Well, I guess I slipped from observation to opinion😲😐...oops... ::panic-green_zps85686712:: ::panic-green_zps85686712::

BTW, by every measure of success besides Billboard Top 10 or arena tours, Adam is very successful. He's making an incredible livng doing what he loves. He has 3 careers, solo, QAL, and acting. He's making millions both with QAL and on his solo tour.
IMO, we can't set the bar for what or where WE want him to be. As a fan of the man and his music, that just doesn't make sense to me.

I agree pattihum! I'm really kind of sick of this conversation. Adam's career is fabulous and what's ahead, who knows, but Adam is living the rock star life and I for one just want to go along for the ride, wherever it take's me! He's in that small percentage of singers that's truly living his dream!

Well Adam is living his life as a pop star and a rock star. I think he is doing alright lol. I think Adam is fine with steady success. And to me that is the best kinda success, if Adam wants longevity. Which I Think he well get. He well outlast the Katy Perrys imo.

AnnAdoresAdam I know exactly what you mean! When you're new to the fandom there is SO MUCH to catch up to. Now after two years I feel like I've almost emptied the glass and am "up to date" on the man *lol* (that's how I interpret the overflowing glass)

From childhood on, Adam has been surrounded by very talented peers in music, theater, art and fashion. He sees them working very hard to "make it" in the arts field. Some have a decent amount of success at it, earning a good living. Earning respect from other professionals. Yet, none of them have become STARS. None are high profile like he is. None have the recognition, the opportunities, or the seven figure incomes Adam has.
Some fans consider Adam's peers to be people like Gaga or Katy or Justin or Bruno, and bemoan that Adam does not have the same level of fame. I don't think Adam looks at those folks as his peers. They are certainly not the ones he hangs with. His peers are those who have been in the trenches in theater with him, who have hung out in after hours bars long before Adam became fodder for the paparazzi, who are these days on the creative, innovative, fringe of the art world.
I cannot pretend to know what Adam considers to be the hallmark of "success" as an artist. But I suspect he is proud of all he is accomplishing while having a rich personal life outside the spotlight.
