Let's keep in mind that JH and KC won't be judging during the same Voice season - one in the fall, the other in the spring - so no idea where Adam would even fit in. But I think Lyndsey is highly aware of it and knows it won't happen - she probably just wanted to stir things up a bit. My favorite part of the article: "Side note: Clarkson and Hudson’s Voice hiring may seem like the ultimate Idol burn, but in a weird way, it’s a compliment. After all, The Voice has not generated a single superstar worthy of being a panelist on any rival reality show."Excellent point! It's curious that after all these years of The Voice, they don't have ONE alum who they're looking at the be a panelist on their own show. The Voice has not produced one major star. On the other hand, right after Adam's season on Idol, he was very quickly asked if he was going to be a judge for the very next year. He was the first alum to be a mentor. And on and on. Can't figure out why The Voice has lasted as long as it has. but then again, we know that it's not about the contestants, is it? It's about the judges/mentors. I want Idol for Adam's benefit. Period. I can't figure it out either but I think you are right - it appears to be all about the celebrities that keep rotating in and out of the show. I can't really judge too much as I haven't even watched a full episode yet, however it is a complete turn-off for me that the judges initially turn their backs to the singers and only turn around if they are pleased enough - I find that rude and disrespectful to any performer. That style just doesn't appeal to me plus what's the point other than the added drama? We all know by now that it is not ONLY about the voice when it comes to making it in music. Probably another reason why no real star has emerged from the show. I am happy that Idol makes a comeback (even though it stresses me out a bit) but I think it shouldn't be all about The Voice.

www.hollywoodreporter.com/fien-print/daniel-fienberg-my-dream-american-idol-judging-panel-abc-1003231NBC's 'The Voice' stole Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Clarkson already, so what should ABC do to get 'American Idol' buzz back? You can get American Idol fans hyped about a Kelly/J-Hud/Glambert panel, but it's a lot harder to stir loins for Adam Lambert and a random assortment of veterans. It wasn't just that the hypothetical trio I listed represented three of the most talented Idol finalists ever. They also represented a trio of strong personalities that might have played well off of each other. Note-for-note, a Fantasia/Daughtry/Clay trio might come close, but personality-wise, I can't sell it.

I love the irony of some around here, saying oh I hate reality shows, I don't want Adam on that. Well if it wasen't for Adam going on that horrible reality show. He woulden't exist, and this site would definately not exist. Adam and his fans owe that show everything. I have liked Idol more then the other singing shows. Being judge would give Adam huge cred. He would be on all the talk shows, prob on peoples choice mag again. Be a big boost for him. Prob not as much as 2013. His career is bright atm. But be a cool gig for him. Speculation of course. As always.

I think Melissa Doolittle would be amazing as a judge, funny and very knowledgeable. That is if they want a real judge and not just a personality.

I think Melissa Doolittle would be amazing as a judge, funny and very knowledgeable. Yes, I like her better than Fantasia or Kelly Pickler...even tho I like Kelly Pickler. Would rather have Dolly Parton...lol...than Kelly. I agree...Melinda is knowledgeeable, articulate and funny.

It will be interesting to see how the show positions itself between the contestants and the judges. I hope they feature the contestants and have useful judging. Dolly Parton would be very interesting.
