Just saw the speech - great job, of course. I had no doubt Adam would say all the right things: he has been speaking more or less the same all along, but now it was super-condensed and thus very powerful. Each sentence was a great quote, I felt. Maybe that is why some might have had a slight impression that he did not write the speech himself. I think he did, or if he asked for help, maybe somebody just edited his draft a little bit, by removing some extraneous thoughts. It does not matter. His message was perfectly delivered, he said everything he wanted to say, never got long-winded or boring (let's face it, most political speeches are boring), and - in my opinion - he nailed the situation happening in the world right now and how we should all resist it: with solidarity, with love. That was an excellent speech! Bravo

A couple of days ago there was discussion/dreaming about Adam taking on the role of the Phantom in Phantom of the Opera. I posted this there, but thought you might miss it as the thread is old. So, for fun,

You have to take into consideration where Adam was placed in the line-up and the rhetoric that had taken place beforehand. Not to mention the stakes for the protest/resist tone of the event. I was actually afraid that Adam would have played it too safe. Instead, he judged not only the immediate audience, but how it would play out on youtube. It's a rally cry, not a valedictorian address. I think he delivered a speech for the audience, at the high point and rally cry for the event. Yes! Perfectly said! ❤️

nonotme I had to think of this one snap from last year of Adam and Brian and Adam kept cursing and swearing and Brian had a somewhat painful look on his face lol at 8:00 in the video (speech and backstage) isn't that the guy whos picture was posted earlier here and who tweeted that he asked Adam about new music? ...so cute how Adam lets everyone else in the car first Yes, that is Julian. Nice guy! An LA Glambert! ❤️

He made his point without preaching. Good job!

BRAVO, ADAM! You made us proud! Your words were spot-on. (and yes, I think you wrote them yourself.) I hope those in the audience who don't follow Adam closely will see him as a strong, articulate spokesman. He speaks from experience, from the heart. And he is not afraid to mention politics when the occasion calls for it. And kudos to Dr. Bri for praising Adam's words. I think Adam will stay active in social advocacy. I sure hope he does. It's a great way to stay in the public eye, remain relevant, and perhaps do some good. It can be a life-long legacy. Very impressive performance by Adam today. Hard to believe that it all started 8 years ago when he was looking for a platform to make a better living as a singer. I am so incredibly proud.

Just popping in to say that Brian is definitely NOT offended by Adam's language. Brian has dropped quite a few F-Bombs in his life....
And he worked with Freddie. A man who used vulgar language as an art form.
The first line of "Life Is Real"? Was originally:
Cunt stains on my pillow.
Freddie's assistant convinced him to change it since the record company wouldn't allow it.
He went on to change it to Cum stains....before finally settling for the much more tamer....Guilt stains.
I'm sure an occasional F Bomb from Adam doesn't even register! LOL
Roger too for that matter....One of my favorite moments from Roger I have is a biography interview where he said the press were hounding Freddie at the end and that they were hounding them for comments on Freddie...Start around 41:45 below -
(and keep going if you want to cry a bit at Bri and Rog's notations of his passing...especially Roger)

ok ok ok!!!...you guys have been around longer have whitnessed more of Brian And Roger...I just had that one snap in mind, that all, and by no means did I think Brian was shocked or offended or such just could have done without it...more a matter of necessity... I guess you guys are right that Brian has seen it all (probably quite literally) and then some...
