I'm definitely of the take that this is beautiful art that builds on Adam's natural beauty and offers a different interpretation of that beauty. Venus rising:). I've always viewed the QAL costumes as almost cosplay - the black leather daddy ensemble makes me smile. This made me gasp a bit. In a good way. I didn't realize how much I've missed Adam's more striking adventures in creative presentation lol. eta: Linda, great minds . I've been thinking Botticelli too, maybe a hint in pose of pre-Raphaelites?

I honestly can't believe anyone would be making negative remarks about the picture. This is not the real Adam, not what he's wearing on the tour, it's a piece of art! I personally think it's beautiful and that chest!!!! A part of me wishes he would come out like this on tour. Just to see what the combustion would be like. Ha ha. You wrote that and I immediately thought of this (cued at the appropriate place) :D youtu.be/wU1kTuVSUOw?t=67

I remember the Stones singing this song in 1966 at Memorial Coliseum in Portland. They were so young then!

I love that this presentation makes me think and not just drool. ETA: Oh and the pearl hairpins evoke a painful diadem to me; a suffering for beauty perhaps.

I must be on a classical kick. Previously, I saw daVinci's Mona Lisa and now I seriously get a more muted Botticelli vibe. Close up of Birth of Venus: Adam: I am amazed, intrigued and totally captivated by this image

Late to the party, but aren't there a lot of images of Queen Elizabeth 1 with crimped red hair wig and those pearl pins? (Of course, she's wearing a lot more clothing.)

I find the picture captivating. There are so many amazing pictures of Adam but I rarely download. This one I did. Shading, freckles, stature all compelling to me. I love it!

I find it intriguing that some of the most diehard love-everything-he-does fans both here and on the rest of SM are not liking the image very much. To me, while stylized and embellished, this coloring and with freckles showing is the closest to raw real Adam that we have seen in a long time, maybe ever. What does it mean when not real is more desired than real? I think fans just don't like that ORANGE color.. LOL. It just looks weird on him. I want to see him grow his hair again and back to his natural color just like these pictures.
