they weren't sitting in Phoenix when I turned around. I grant you I wasn't checking the nosebleed seats. I'll let you know how much sitting happens in Seattle ITA Phoenix audience was the most involved. And lots of people participated. I loved turning around and seeing all the light up phones. Adam liked it to, he was right near me when he saw it and turned back and looked at Brian

Momtomany....thank you for your wonderful recap!! I could almost feel like I was there living this special QAL moment with you! While I just listened to the audio and didn't watch the periscopes (waiting until my show to watch anything) I just sensed that the second show was EPIC...Perfection! The VOICE...OMG!...pure perfection, the CONNECTION to the massive crowd, and the LOVE and RESPECT that Adam..Brian..Roger...and the whole BAND had for each other on that historic stage I could feel sitting here at my computer!! This concert was a celebration of love, life, and the beauty of MUSIC!! You were so lucky to be there and celebrate this moment in QAL history...and you will get to have the memories in your heart forever!! And no discussion about Adam/Freddie and what each brings to Queen can dampen my elation for what I witness last night sitting here at my 'little ole' computer...a true CHAMPION of a MOMMENT in the history of QAL!!

Brian and Roger have chosen Adam to be the living frontman for Queen now. He is the one putting on these fantastic performances with them today. He will be given credit for his contribution no matter how long it lasts or which reviewers don't like it. I think it is great that they chose Adam to bring their music back to life. Adam, Roger and Brian and fans are having a blast.

I am a Queen fan old enough to remember when these songs were new. I love the band as a whole, the music is unique and creative. But, Honestly for me, Dr May's guitar defines the Queen sound, not Freddie's voice. Freddie was an amazing writer and vocalist. The songs are brilliant. The band is Iconic. You know, I had the misfortune of seeing them with Paul Rodgers. What a bad idea. Thank gawd for Adam, he fits.

Let me say to everyone - that any discussion I have brought was never intended to bring Adam down, nor was it meant to dampen any elation about QAL.
I have been a Queen fan for quite awhile now. I enjoyed when Paul Rodgers sang with Queen and thought it to be a distinctly new attempt at a new kind of band. Now, I have also quite enjoyed the QAL era - moreso than many of my Queen friends who have been ambivalent at best. You may find it interesting to know that with some of them, I'm on the opposite side of the fence, defending B&R's choice of Adam - telling them to give the gigs a shot because it's as close as we'll ever get to original Queen...
I *EVEN* found myself defending Adam to my daughter's 13 year old friend! She was sleeping over and my daughter talked about us going to see QAL and she mentioned having heard of Adam Lambert and liking Ghost Town. She had heard that Adam was going to tour with some old band but didn't know much about it. I let them watch the QAL Blu Ray and she loved the music. She heard Freddie's moments and asked about Freddie and of course I was happy to tell her about Queen. I lent her Queen's Greatest Hits and Live in Montreal and she came away much more of a Queen fan and didn't like how Adam sang Queen. I found myself defending Adam saying, well yeah he does it differently but it's a very worthy show and I had a great time at the gigs.
I thought seeing me on that side might make you laugh a bit...
BUT I just wanted to say, I don't want to bring people down. But I also am someone who doesn't allow a loud voice or two to shout down my very valid and honest opinion on things. Peace and love.

Spread Your Wings. I have a photo of it I can't wait to see that - I hope it remains in the set. I like the added singalong - it was never really a true singalong during the olden days... I do like how they are re-arranging songs now and again. Not sure yet on the newer Somebody To Love - it's growing on me, but I had really liked the rock and roll church vibe of the 2014-2016 versions. But I like the idea of the rearrangements. I would love to see them try the slow-fast Hammer To Fall that Brian did back in the late 90s and again with Paul where it starts out as a ballad and then rocks out at the end....

Just want to say Spread your wings fits Adam like a globe! It's Late too! Great new additions. I have never seen Adam look and sound so confident. Ever. Almost got a free license now.
As for FLD lol. Look Technically I beleive Adam is a stronger vocalist then Freddie was. Adam always feels more polished as a singer compared to Freddie, with a touch of dirty heh. Freddie was never trained. He taught himself to sing. Play Piano etc. I think though most of the reasonable Queen fans are not threatened by Adam. Nor are they as over zealous or self entitled as the die hates. They understand someone has come along who has brought the catalogue to life not since Freddie. Adam has enhanced the bands legacy. Majority of the audience are loving Qal. So why matter about the minority.
Had to laugh at. That comment about someone was st one of the Qal shows showing youtubes of a better Queen tribute band is better. It's like if I spent $300-500 to go see a Justin Bieber concert. And show his teenagers youtubes of Adam Lambert LOL. I mean what the hell. Thing with Adam that makes him so polarising. Is he possesses traits of Freddie and the old Queen. But his interpretation of the songs are so different to the old Queen. Guys like Martel sound eerily like Freddie. So he's more safe. Adam is like a hurricane. Some can only deal with him in drizzles.
Anyway Two Fux out here in NZ tommorro. Wonder if it we'll be radio ready. You know the whole Fux.
