This is not the first time this has happened... once Adam gets over a certain number the song has a life of It's own.. IMHO the fans help by getting to that number.. again Adam is not one of the popular kids in the pop world, but that's where he seems to want to be..So I wil continue to advocate. IMHO,He has a high hill to climb and is one of the only out gay singers,in America ,to beable to do so ... Where are the other talented gay POP singers .. why aren't they supported. IMHO It's the elephant in the room... Here's one out American gay artist ever see him anywhere .. one of many talented singers.. as I said the gay community doesn't seem to support their own artists enough.. can you imagine if they did? www.youtube.com/watch?v=qizkoyx1Wnw: smarturl.it/un5crq

I will continue to advocate Just curious, which songs are you talking about. His hit songs have all been solidly backed by the label starting day one---WWFM, IIHDY, GT Keep advocating---it is all good. I just don't believe that his fanbase (which is not huge) has much power on its own.

Some Adam fans complain that he hasn't put out new music and then when he puts out three new songs, they don't seem to be supported... I don't get it... He won't beable to put out more new music if It's not bought ,listened to etc. So It's up to us ...... Is it beginning to dawn just how small the active fandom has become? Such a shame.

De-lurking. Firstly, want to thank all the QAL streamers, gigs are early hours of the morning here in the UK but so grateful that I get to set an alarm and tune in. THANK YOU
Topic of streaming views has me interested as I thought about this recently. Like most here I make a point to hit the two fux spotify and youtube but agree with others in that at the end of the day, we are a rain drop in the ocean, large viewing numbers require lots of casual viewers. GT for example, in addition to radio play, probably ended up on annual Halloween playlists. This is out of our hands and shouldn't be stressed over.
The following is what annoys me; I saw that the vevo youtube channel has 670k subs whereas the current AL youtube channel has 380k subs.
1) After at least 2 years why has AL managment not ensured that all these subbers port over to the new channel. Read the new comments on these vevo vids, peeps saying this song is awsome, come back adam, why haven't you posted new music in 5 years? Criminal, why don't they know about the new channel? It's managements job to ensure these fans view the right things.
2) Even if we take the 380k subscribers to the AL youtube channel, when the video goes up everyone should get an alert that the vid has been posted. Why does it take 1-2 weeks to get 300k views? Why are these subscribers not viewing the video at least once within a week? Needs to be addressed!
3) I also think some background deals are also essential for music to be pushed up the charts. JAY Z for example, apparently his album, which peeps said was not particularly good, went platinum after 5 days. They gave him the award before the achievement, why? Because he had made a marketing deal with some company who would buy 1.5 mil copies of the album which they then give out free. Not saying AL should do this but, I think it illustrates that in the absence of a pull for the music, maybe the music needs to be pushed in alternative ways!

Sometimes I have trouble understanding the angst and desire for more. I think I get a little of it. I would really be happy for Adam if he blew up and sold a trillion records or streams. I think he is that good.
But Adam has recently made a point in interviews of saying things like this: IIRC, he even directly addressed his fans in (I think it was) a tweet, saying something along the lines of not worrying himself if it was a huge hit and we shouldn't either. That it was not his goal.
The whole point of his song is not giving Two Fux.
So Adam has gobs of money (and can probably afford to put out his own music if he wants), he is touring with a legendary group to sold out adoring crowds, he has the voice of a lifetime, he is healthy and to all intents and purposes happy, artistically challenged and fulfilled, with opportunities to follow his muse, has the respect (as far as I can tell) of the music industry for his artistry, plus HAWT, has lots and lots of outfits, supportive loving friends and family, a beautiful home, a a cool dog, and he tells us he is in a really good space. With the possible exception that he is still looking for love.
And he has reiterated that, at this point in his life, he is happy and self assured and no longer so concerned with the fame chase. So why don't we believe him? He has always made of point, as far as I can tell, of being honest. Do people think he is hiding a deep desire to be number 1 on the charts? That he is unhappy that he is not more well known? That his words are just sour grapes? Or maybe more generically that he really feels that success really is measured by numbers and fame?
We don't know him. His desires may be different than ours. What we have to go on is what he says. And my guess is that he is not angsting. I think he is having a ball. And I think we should also.

He told us once that it's not that deep.
Maybe he is really saying what he feels.

Well, he only has three albums released. Most of his time recently is spent with QAL---which I am not knocking, he clearly loves playing with Brian and Roger and is making a ton of money. And, I am finally getting to see them in Chicago--So excited!! But this is not doing much, it appears, to grow the fanbase. People lose interest or find new artists to follow. Can we please not mistake realistic/serious discussion for angst? Please?

Not saying AL should do this but, I think it illustrates that in the absence of a pull for the music, maybe the music needs to be pushed in alternative ways! The points you make are very valid and also questions I have asked myself quite some times already. His new YT channel after 4 years still doesn't have it's name changed to Adam Lambert. The VEVO channel is still found more easy than his new channel. Also his channel is managed poorly or at least I would have chosen other ways to set it up. There is now a Music video's playlist on his front page, but that list doesn't have all his official music video's. The one who made that playlist just seemed to have put some random video's together. There is not much time invested in that and in a lot of other stuff. Adam's IG post to follow him on Spotify gained him about 800 extra followers. He has 1 million followers on that IG account. He has now close to 455k followers on Spotify. If all those would have streamed his song 2 times he would have made 1 million on the 2nd or 3rd day already.

Yes he has said not to stress about streams, but after that posts Two Fux on his twitter, IG and FB. So he clearly wants us to view and stream the song. He also asked us to follow him on Spotify. That to me is saying he wants us to stream. IMO: he's not giving two fux about this. He is invested in this song and he wants it to do more than it's doing right now.
